As always your videos capture the beauty and majesty of the mountains and nature. I have to say I enjoy when no one is walking in front of you, it gives me the sense I’m the one hiking and taking in the beauty.
LOVED this one! Scottie did GREAT! Loved the LED's around the tents. Trout instead of dogs ALWAYS a plus. I just put this trip to Blue Lake my first go to for 2021! And DUDE that star shot was amazing! Great job guys!
I love watching all your videos! My favorites have to be the Sabrina Basin ones…Because of you, I am more motivated than ever to backpack more. Thank you for sharing your experiences and taking us with you!
I don't think he was out of shape so much as he was carrying a whole cars worth of stuff. His backpack looked like it was exploding. GREAT video love it. I've been to that area a hundred times never hiked the area always there fishing. So cool.
Can't ever go wrong with Blue Lake. We were up there when Neowise was in the sky. First time sleeping with the fly off and perfect weather. Those steps tho! Definitely looks like you both had a chill time. 🤙
Try the Costco family dinner dogs in the frozen section. They are the same ones they serve at the food court. They are awesome! What re your favorite Backpacker meals?
Yo dude! Love the channel as always. My wife and I love Blue Lake and beyond. When fishing, use the smallest split shot and 2lb leader. The little fish see everything! It looked really busy at the time…. Try going to the next set of lakes on day 2, before going down!
@@Sheety33 oh, that’s awesome! Supposedly, there is a short set of falls near Hungry Packer. It’s deeper in, but can be done if basecamped at Blue. We tried one year, but made a wrong turn - ended up at Midnight Lake. The shop/cafe at Lake Sabrina has all you need, just in case, regarding fishing. I pick up leader, the SMALLEST hooks, and worms. If your careful, the fish won’t swallow the worms if you use half, even a third of the worm. You’ll catch fish, easily! I’ve caught many fish off one segment of a worm up there. Also, the pie is awesome at the cafe! Have fun! I’ll be at Virginia lakes and Trumbull lake campground the same weekend! Wish we could roll with you! That’s our favorite basin!
@@Sheety33 Thank you Scott, very thoughtful of you, We had great holiday, hope you and the missis did too. Yeah we hope to see you all 2021 too, lets all keep our fingers crossed the government lets us live life again :)
Awesome video, awesome scenery, but good god it’s infuriating to see how some people can’t follow LNT principles- people with their tent at 2:30 🤬 rant over- thanks for sharing!!!
Yes… I think people get excited and decide to set camp right there, right away. The log-jam-dam bridge thing is directly to the right of those tents. It’s quite annoying to go through someone camp, and they’ll soon realize people go through their camp! I love blue lake… there are a bunch more nice sites to camp around the right side of the lake. And more lakes nearby!
All of your walks regularly take you into intoxicating watershed..., with habitats of Golden’s, Cutthroat’s, Hybrids, etc. Perhaps a “life-time fishing” license is in your future. I secured one.... for this very same reason 👊😎...
Your contents're always calm to watch. Thank you for making those. Keep it up. 👏
Thank you so much - appreciate it!!

Agreed!!! Lake was pretty overcrowded on this weekend!
what is wrong with their tent being there? maybe they were sleeping? I see backpacks hung on the tree.
oh I see. It's right ON the trail.

How many miles is this hike? What’s the trailhead location? Thanks !
About 2.75 miles from the Sabrina Basin TH
What bait was used to catch that trout?
I used red salmon egg power bait....trout to crazy for it.
Did you need permits for this trip? If so were they hard to get?
Yes and yes!

I like the sound of this “life-time fishing” license.....need to put it on my wife’s radar for Christmas 2021
@@Sheety33 Yep, a gift that keeps on giving!
What is the name of the trail and where is the TH. Looks like a hike i can do next year 2021
Trail head is at Lake Sabrina. It’s beautiful! I’ve been going for ten+ years. No longer a secret 😩
