I need to change the UV light in my Savio SuperNova 75 Watt UV since my pond is 3 years and 4 months old and not as clear as it use to be. I was told the ballast/transformer should be changed out as well. Since you didn't mention that what are your thoughts about that.
Also, I was told by a pond guy I should unplug the light while cleaning with my alphaOne, but the pond builder said not necessary so your thoughts would be appreciated on that as well.

I bought a uv light for my 1000 gallon pond and it didn’t a dang thing to clean the green pea soup water. I want to try one again but I’m kind of hesitant to go through it again.

What size UV did you buy? What size pump are using? How long has it been on?
The UV may take some time if the pond is really green, or if the flow rate is too slow through it. Otherwise, it will work.
