@@kirstieadams8795 I'm a young lad 30 years old , my generation my father and grandfather worked in and around the steelworks in Sheffield (forge masters, templeborough , aldwalk, brinsworth, Avesta, SMACC and stocksbridge) it's not like it use to be tho, not many proud men about anymore, proper skilled trades men are few and far between. Where their use to be thousands of men filling the melt shop their are now just a handful of men doing the same job, much has been automated and jobs have been lost, health and safety turning men into mice along with the environmental agency has crushed the steel industry over the last 20 years, we were once known in Sheffield for being the pioneers of steel and now we are responsible for just a small portion of the world's steel production. I've only been in the industry for a little over 10 years and have seen a massive decline in production and man power.
