I learnt from a previous video you did, I never thought I could do these and I didn't use my back leg to push through too, I now hold onto a bar at waist height in front of me to stabilise and keep my torso upright, and I put a mat on the floor so my knee hits the mat each time, I used to struggle to do 3, I can now do 2 sets of 10 with ease, so I shall definitely try increasing the height of my back leg.
I intended to go to the gym this weekend instead, I just went rock climbing not once but twice this weekend and my hands fingers and forearms are quite sore and my forearms are now hard and veiny
Really informative video, thank you. Last time I tried Bulgarian split squats, I got pain in my front knee after. Looking forward to trying some of your tips .
I guess it's time to dust off the stepper that is just holding various bits of gym gear and use that for bulgarians instead of the chair as I do struggle with them. I certainly can't go knee to floor because my knees don't like it at all, but maybe a lower surface will make it more manageable.
Excellent topic. Since I was diagnosed with a meniscal tear. I feel uncomfortable lately with Bulgarian split lunges. So I am practicing instead split lunges and progressively overload.. Thank you dear Cori❤️🇬🇷
@redefiningstrengthOC thankfully I am one of the lucky ones. Haven't experienced any pain so far due to the fact I have strong legs. Defined quads. . Have been working out constantly most of my life. My orthopedic recommended to continue working out, lifting weight as long as I avoid jumping, and being careful while doing squats. (not lower than 90 degrees).Doctor also recommended to avoid high heels.. My dearest Cori I am grateful. My working out has saved me from pain. Thank you so much my dear♥️
This morning I was doing the single leg deadlifts. I hate my squishy running shoes and couldn’t keep my balance. I reverted back to 80/20. Maybe barefoot?
@@pizmotality8136 -stance simply means we are shifting the weight distribution in our feet from an even 50/50 to a 80/20 (sometimes referred to as a staggered stance). What does this mean? Basically, we are adding more load onto one leg to build additional strength. Hobbits too
These are a no for me because of a wonky knee. Every time I try them my knee gets hurt. I had a dream about you last night! 😂 You were helping me work out but I don’t remember the rest of the dream.
You so deserve to reach million + subscribers!!! Go girl!!! 👊

Great video! You’re awesome
Glad it helps! Thanks!
I got great results when I added Bulgarian squats.
I find I get the best range of motion with these over regular squats.
Love that you're using the full range of motion. Truly is the key!
#3, yep! I was starting way too high and hated this exercise. Going lower has helped me out and I'm finally making progress with these.
YES! Matching our range of motion to start is so key! Glad you have!

What do you mean, 80/20?
Spartans lived and fought barefoot. That warrior culture favored performance (effectively life and death for them) over everything.

@@vladcraioveanu233I think they make shoes without the squishy soles. I’ve seen people at the gym kick their shoes off. Makes sense!

check knees over toes guy for knee rehab/strengthening (i'm not affiliated with him in any way, just a guy with knee problems :] )
I think I can only do these if I hold onto TRX straps!
I will practice until I get this . Thank you 🎉
