The octave he hits on "record company contracts" and the rock scream going into that... man, that is just other worldly stuff that us mere mortals couldn't hope to approach. Damn the man had PIPES.
130 - 142 proves Brad Delp does those ridiculously high harmonies...some people think its the guitar that does harmonies over Brads vocals because of how high he gets. But its all him!
There was no better singer in Rock than Brad Delp, just different ones. I put him in that rare class with people like Freddie Mercury, Geoff Tate, & Robert Plant, ect.. I miss his music greatly. I met Brad once, & he lived up to his reputation for being " The Nicest Guy in Rock n' Roll."
I always knew he had one of the best set of pipes in Rock & Roll, but kudos to Tom Scholz' genius for Brad singing instrumental parts to accompany his guitar playing. Absolutely AMAZING! Now, if Tom would release a Boston - Anthology consisting of all the cuts/outtakes while he and Brad (and Jim Masdea) were recording these songs.
The posted/uploader of this song took this from the video game rock band so I'm assuming that's a fake crowd that was added IMO. Just my two cents/opinion.
its true he was the nicest guy in the world, very sensitive, caring and avoid confrontation at any cost. and contrary to what some might think Tom sholtz is also a very nice guy.
Brad Delp. the greatest voice in rock

"you know you got great expectations"
And eventually "you're gonna be a sensation"

DanLeeProductions awesome
plant sucks
Unbelievable and no auto tune pure talent and .....TOM Sholtz.
One of the greatest voices in rock! Him and Steve Perry.
GreatVideos not to mention Danny Joe Brown
Freddie Mercury, but Delp is still my favorite
Kyle Fast I wouldn’t really call Freddie Mercury much of a rock singer... only a handful of songs were even rock songs.
To add to the list Meat Loaf back in the day in his prime, Mickey Thomas, Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, Jimi Jameson ect... too many to count.
