I haven't forged in a long time (I mostly map for Source games nowadays) but I absolutely love watching videos of people showing off their video game levels in a "director's commentary" style. There are professionally made maps out there that don't have this level of detail and care. My jaw dropped when I saw the robot that got its tires into the blue liquid! You've gotta keep making these, I love your channel so much -- not only for entertainment, but for inspiration in my own creations as well 👍

They should add this to the playlist, I want to be able to play it more often/outside of customs. So many forgers' maps are right up there with the best infinite dev maps, and are more unique. This, Perilous, and Starboard might work in ranked too. I like Overdrive's daytime version since it's more unique, but variable weather/lighting for maps would be great.

The lore was sweet, makes me want to play the map more, it was very interesting too. Tryna make an interesting remake of River from gears of war currently too
This is actually only 89% budget! The map is permanently bugged, so I don't have access to roughly 700 objects because Forge THINKS I'm at 100%. We persevere
It's cool to see the small detail, something that 343 lacks with their laziness. I noticed on oasis, perfectly good pipes that show no holes but are leaking steam in multiple spots. They also put light in rooms without light fixtures. It seems there is no logic mistakes in your work. I can see that as the battery liquid leaks through the crevice.
They need to monetize forgers similar to what Fortnite is doing. If you submit a map that meets certain parameters you get paid $X for making it into the community playlist, $X for being recognized as being at a certain tier by the Halo team ($100 for S tier, $50 in MS points for A tier, etc.), then $X amount per month in MS points thereafter while Halo is a live service game, etc. I mean, there needs to be SOMETHING.
this looks amazing normally people make halo forge look bad, bland, boring and gives it the generic lazy halo mapping but this should become the new norm 10/10
Most objects only scale to 0.5 units, but ankle covers in the halo design set category can be scaled to 0.0 - 2 dimensional :) May make a tutorial in the future showing of tricks only some forgers know
I used white rescaled decals just like with the graffiti top red base! They're MASSIVE c symbols meticulously placed so the walls around the door hide the rest. Discovered this concept a while ago and figured it adds to the cyberpunk aesthetic and lore 🤝
@@LizardInvasion2025Thirty2 you can script objects to move from point A to B. I simply found objects that vaguely resemble cyberpunk vehicles and did that on a pseudo fixed loop and played sfx at their location. The actual cyberpunk cars on the ground took more time because I modeled them out of like 90 random objects like crates and trash bins, but rescaled objects can't be scripted to move

Halo infinite doesn't really have team colors, so "Red Base" and "Blue Base" wouldn't really match; enemies are default red and allies are default blue.
I know, but in a symmetrical arena especially, differentiating spawn sides is important, more-so for players new to the map. Like you said, you can't guarantee colors will match - I could use green and purple. Red vs Blue is just subconsciously way more synonymous with opposing sides! But knowing the info you shared is why I only sprinkled in those colors, but further emphasized the differences via environmental storytelling. Red base pumps oxygen into the atmosphere, Blue base pumps overdrive into the atmosphere. Red base is in the light, blue base is shrouded (just like Midship, which is entirely purple otherwise). Red side has plenty of foliage and residential themes, Blue side is factory and construction. The lore is that the entire map takes place in the sleeping robot's memory as I mention in the video - it explains the "rendering" doors and map intro, as well as the colors, which theoretically aren't like that in reality. He compartmentalizes the city by unrendering unused locations and color coding sections in an effort at creating an efficient trash-collecting route, which is all a part of a deeper easteregg involved with hacking the computer in Blue base :)
For the money I used ankle half covers in the Halo design set tab because they scale to 0.1 instead of 0.5 - then it's just a matter of "painting" with white squares to make the $ design on more thickly green half covers. The blue liquid is optimized, using rescaled tires instead of individual objects for the treads. The tires are rescaled to be relatively 2D, colored blue and given an emmisive glowing material. Several of those tires are then sunken into the floor so only the tread peaks out of the floor creating the illusion of wet "paint" trails :)
@@kcdodger it's just pollution, I called it chem trails in the video jokingly because the spaceships fly through it. But overdrive (if you watch the lore section of this video) is the blue chemical that is getting exhausted into the atmosphere so calling it a chem trail isn't really incorrect for this cyberpunk map lol

How did you get the small details on the dollar bills? I am not familiar with any objects that can be scaled that small.
