      Hello Sarah.
      Thank you very much - glad it helped.
      Absolutely, yes. As long as you can attach the pipework to the tap, it doesn't matter what the tap looks like, or does.

    • @plumbingwerx

      Hello Mark.
      You have to use a tap backnut spanner. Hit this link: www.screwfix.com/p/monument-tools-tap-backnut-spanner-set-27-x-32mm-2-pcs/9872h

    how do I isolate hot and cold water taps on bath without having to take off bath panel as its sealed in? its a Valiant combo boiler

    • @plumbingwerx
      @plumbingwerx  2 роки тому

      If you're on a combi boiler simply isolating the mains supply to the property will turn off both your hot, and cold water supply.

    Hi, if you want to replace the tap with the exact same tap, after closing the water from the mains, can you just take the tap out from the top two nuts and then fit the new tap?

    • @plumbingwerx
      @plumbingwerx  Рік тому +1

      Hello.
      That's pretty much all you need to do, yes. Make sure to tighten them each a little at a time - don't fully tighten one side, then the other. But yes, that would be all you need to do.
      Thanks

    Hi, I don't have isolation valves on my pipework in the bathroom, I want to change both the bath mixer taps & the basin taps, where do I need to turn the water off? I have a cylinder cupboard in the bathroom with a water tank in.

      @plumbingwerx  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello Ste.
      If you're not too sure what you're doing, then I'm sorry to say that the simplest thing you can do is switch it off at the mains, and let it all drain out.
      Best of luck, pal!

    • @plumbingwerx
      @plumbingwerx  5 місяців тому +1

      It'll isolate the mains, which will stop the cylinder and CWSC filling back up, as long as you drain it.@@YORKEE

    I am sorry, I still don't know how to get under the tub. What did you do to get there? All plumbing videos start with all the pipes exposed, but how to get to them? 😒

    • @plumbingwerx
      @plumbingwerx  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Ania,
      Each bath tub is different, which is why videos don't tend to show this. Your bath will usually have a bath panel which can be removed. Once this has been removed it will expose the pipework. I can't be any more help without actually seeing it, I'm afraid.
      Thanks

    I have a tap just like this and all of a sudden when the lever is down and facing the direction of hot, water starts flowing. Doesn't even need lifting up, then I struggle trying to stop water flowing and all I'm getting is cold water no matter where I turn the tap. No idea why it's started doing that 🤔

    • @plumbingwerx
