The "grits" is cassava flour, normally poured on the beans(dry). The candy bar is rapadura, made from sugar cane.
I was laughing so hard when I saw that.

The "grits" is a flour. We mix it with the beans or even with the rice. You aren't supposed to put water in it 🤣🤣

Please use the stove to cook the food. I want my authentic MRE soldier survival taste test experience. The harsher the conditions the better. Always loved your work.
If customs opens something, they should close it again and put a tape on it that says opened by customs, at least this is what Finnish Customs does.
As does the Canadian Customs.

The breakfast and lunch (desjejum e almoço) package is rice and top sirloin cap
And the dinner and supper (jantar e ceia) is rice with beans and beef

5:46 This is cassava flour, in Brazil we like to put a little bit of it on top of our food, that's why it came in MRE
The jam is guava paste, brazilians like it a lot, it is also a best seller in the caribbean islands.

Oh and farinha de mandioca is manioc/yuca flour. You mixed it with water, that's why it was weird.
As an brazilian, was a pain watching you putting water in the cassava flour hahaha, it should be mixed dry with the rice and beans or the meat
