Really great to see content from Zunepedia featured in the video and as one of the many fans of Zune who were passionate about Zune it is great to see things like this about it!
In hindsight it's crazy to see how Toshiba has immensely helped put BOTH Apple and Microsoft for their media players. They also deserve a lot of recognition and respect.
With the exception of Xbox, Microsoft no longer has a "consumer" focus. They're a fully enterprise focused company with big investments in the cloud. It's a shame because Zune, Windows Phone, Windows Media Server, etc. were actually great products but never had the full backing of the Cx level execs.
Thank you so much for this video! I am a hardcore Zune fan and I always have been. I was always trying to convince people to try them, but no one ever would. The only person I ever convinced was my mom. She loves hers also. I'm actually working on trying to get my HD to work again after I had messed up a few years ago.
The zune was pretty cool. I had several MP3 players in the 2000s but mostly used to use my Sony Mini-Disc player. Now I have 256Gb of storage on my phone so use that for portable audio now. I have an iPhone though and am a little disappointed that my new DAC (which has hi res bluetooth) can only use the AAC codec with my phone. I'm mostly buying it for my PC though which I'll plug in with USB. I bought it because it has a good headphone amp built in that is good enough to drive my Sennheiser HD520 which are 600 ohms. The DAC/amp I bought is a Topping DX3 Pro+
That service and product is proof to me that the best thing ever made ever for what it is used for. Even better than the amazing iPod and it annoys me that people don't see its brilliance. Peak vision of why a computer is cool honestly. I adored the subscription service of it and the way it was implimented the moment it came out and I literally used it until 2012 sadly knowng Zune was dead made a slow switch to Spotify and I used it like a CD still but always dearly miss the Zune interface.
Cool video! I made it in at the end! I'm the one who posted about the Zune sweatband! Haha

Still use zune since back in the day. With daps still a thing now, I wonder why Microsoft doesn't try to release a new zune dap type device.

I loved my Zune no one talks about how bad ass the full screen mode would look in music mode displaying the cover art
It's a great player, Microsoft just fumbled it all to hell
