      Lol yesssss... shut the bitch up. That guitar said "put a cock in it, whore" but I do kind of thank her... in the movie they "tune it down and play it faster" essentially making it heavier by musical standards just to spite her comment... and it worked beautifully

    Not just birth of the band, but birth of a new genre of metal as well. And birth of the 80s.

    • @Movierebel3
      @Movierebel3 8 місяців тому +3

      Nah, the birth of it was the release of Blizzard of Ozz in 1980, two years before. When Ozzy broke from Sabbath and brought in Randy who was already glam metal in Quiet Riot. Live Wire was '82. Ozzy was 1980. The mixture of Randy and Ozzy was something new, which is why the Dirt tips its hat to Ozzy. Because of his influence on the band. They would later tour together in Monsters of Rock in 1984 with AC/DC and Van Halen.

  • @LordEarthWolf
    @LordEarthWolf 3 роки тому +137

    Metal musician here, just want to give some context to things.
    The reason they tuned their instruments down is not due to the "heaviness" factor (although that's undoubtedly a side-effect) but mainly for the fact that Vince could have an easier time singing and not struggle to hit those higher notes. Many bands of this era did it for that reason, and as time went on, down-tuning guitars/bass became a permanent thing in Metal.

Didn’t think a group of young actors today would’ve done something as good as the Val Kilmer and his fellow band mates in the movie the doors when they did that back in the 90”s. Goosebumps! I was heavily into Thrash Metal but already knew "Live Wire" from a sampler and I really liked that song. 1984 was the only time I've ever seen them live in Zwolle (Netherlands) where most people came for Iron Maiden but this song and "Shout at the Devil" are still burned in my memory... F love their first 2 albums. 🤘😎🤘

    The one thing I loved about this was it took me back to when this record was released and virt7ally mobody here on the East coast knew who they were. I went to school with a chick from LA named Rebecca, and she introduced me to tons of bands. Early Motley acruebwas a powerful thing. Too Fast For Love and Maiden's Killers were life changing events for me.

      Idk man, I feel like it got the perfect amount, it wasn't over publicised which would have been gaudy for the crue, i mean they where so epic that they wrecked lives! As off putting as that sounds, think about it, they never haulted partying, they gave it so much! They didn't need a movie in the theaters with sponsors, and advertising awards, you just knew it was about the crue and tuned in...truly self selling, and it came at the perfect time.
