I agree! I would love to do the trendy eye look but because I have very hooded eyes that have a downwards tilt to the outer part of my eye it’s very difficult to pull off. I’m all about mascara, soft eyeshadow and smudgy liner; that’s what works for this makeup lover 😊

I am in my sixties and as i watched the transformation i realized that when i was young my eyes naturally had the look of the trendy side. All i saw was the heaviness of that inner eyelid and i tried to make my eyes round. We always want what we don't have!

My grandmother went to beauty school. She taught my mother how to do her makeup exactly the way she did, and my mother taught me. So I have always done, I suppose, the more 1950s style of makeup. My friends would make fun of me when they would see me do my makeup without all the trendy products and brushes and sponges and such. They spent a ton of money and a ton of time on their makeup, and would constantly be buying new products and tools. But time and time again people would come up to me and tell me how flawless my makeup looked.
I love the timeless ... for you and for myself. I just think the trendy overall look is a bit harsh. I like the softness and subtlety of timeless makeup. As always I enjoy learning from you, and you're a great teacher! 😍🤩

Fantastic tutorial. I love seeing how you apply your makeup and the end effect. I am mature and definitely go with the timeless look. I have gain heaps of knowledge and confidence from your videos. Best move for my blue eyes was learning to use copper Matt’s and CT Rose cream shadow I would never have thought I could wear those colours but they work so well. Tell me how to stop shadow drop through the day into the smile lines under my outer eye. Do all the concealer and simple powder setting tricks but the shadow still creates those bags which I hate. So I tend not to use anything on lower lashes except nude liner on the water line. You are amazing and gifted with they way you share your knowledge. Huge thanks

Great video, Andreea! Everything is flawless, the makeup, the way to apply it, the way you explain everything to us! I am voting Timeless for the entire look, even though I love a winged liner look, but just because I don’t like fluffy brows, extremely overlined lips and blush taken close to the nose. Just yesterday I did my base makeup like the Trendy side and I had a hard time blending it 😢 I love applying makeup and I even did a course 2 years ago, but I still didn’t manage to create a flawless base with this technique. I had to use multiple brushes and a sponge to make it look okay, and no, I didn’t apply too much product. Anyway, my point is that everyone should do their makeup as they like and can 😅

We are never too old to learn and you are a wonderful teacher. 😊 I am 62 and I try to keep my look fresh but it has to work with my less than youthful face.I pick and choose from modern colors and styles and modify it to suit me. I have some lines around my lips that don't work well with over lining. OK, so I follow my lip line but use a more modern color and shading of liner. A more trendy lip color. I have hooded eyes so I have always had to work with that. I love the bright blush...I need that for Spring and Summer. ❤

I love the eye on the trendy side but I know I could never do it. The timeless side is easy even for people less experienced and still looks beautiful.
The viewpoint with the brows is interesting. I always use the brow freeze to put everything in order (otherwise my brows celebrate a wild party during the day 😂) and fill up where it is needed with a brow pencile. For me this is very natural.

I love both and at 57 I do a bit of both, sort of a hybrid look. For the life of me even though I have thin lips, I can’t seem to over line them. I always feel like I look clownish.

I dont have tiktok but I hate the “trends” that seems to appear in that social media. There are just the same techniques we’re seeing since years ago when youtubers like Wayne Goss, Lisa Eldridge and even Andreea started! The under painting it’s the preferred technique of Scott Barnes and even he accepts that is a lot of effort and that looks good for red caroet but not necessary in real life!
Both looks are beautiful. I think for me it would depend on the day my mood. However, I am in my 60s and everything is heading south so, I am interested in technics to make the face look more lifted .

I do a 1/2&1/2. Application of base timeless,lips timeless in shape but I love a tinted balm somedays. Eyes, well that’s a hard one cuz is a half n half I like to elongate but I don’t snatch, but then I use color cuz it could be consider trendy but I apply it on a timeless way. I don’t contour cuz I’m older, but I bronze and I’m reliving my younger years by applying my blush in the trendy way cuz it gives a youth effect. That’s what make up is there for to enhance what we got and play with it to show our personality. Love this video!
I think both sides look beautiful on you but I have to say I really really love the timeless one. The timeless side you look naturally gorgeous (which you are!),…and the trendy side almost looks like you’ve had work done, less natural - not a bad thing it’s just more “made-up” and fashion forward. But if you’re going for natural beauty, it’s the timeless side 100% But that’s why makeup is so fun, you can create so many different looks! I apply my make up with trepidation, I love both sides of the application, the eyes are definitely nicer and more open on the trendy side, I prefer the lip over lining and don't particularly like the trendy application of all the products in one go, you are right it seems lazy and not enough precision ⭐️✨️🌷

I love to see this! Timeless base is perfect, I think the trendy way is a useless hype, it doesn't make sense to do all at the same time, because it's so much more prone to errors. The blush is soooo much more fresh and youthfull on the trendy side, I love it! Same goes for the lips, the muted/nude kind of dark mauve just looks old and boring (blush&lips). The eyes are beautiful on both sides, timeless works always everywhere, and trendy can be for a special event (for me). Highlighter I rather skip altogether, but I do have a cream, so trendy looks nicer and more natural for me. Eyebrows - I think the trendy just looks funny, I rather stick to a natural timeless look. All in all, it's a mix of both for me :) I'm 35 btw, using makeup every day.
I loved this video Andreea! And I love elements of both if these looks. Its a mix of classic and trendy for me I think. Firstly though, i will say that I do not put all the colors on my face and then blend. I would be afraid my whole face would turn into the same muddy colored mess. I usually only spot correct any blemishes or redness with some concealer as I don’t need coverage everywhere, or I do a very light base. I love cream makeup best for my slightly mature dry skin, with a minimum of powder on my t zone to set it. I’ve always done my blush angled toward my temple, even since I was a teen. I have naturally thicker and nicely shaped eyebrows so I only use a little something to keep them in place. For eyes, I love a little flick at the edge of the eye to lift a bit and I’ve always done this too. My eyes are a good size for my face and accenting them is not too difficult. For Eyeshadow I like a mix of both again. Not too crazy, usually one to two colors as I have a natural darkness in my crease as I am olive light skinned, but I like to play a bit with different colors all over as a one and done in the summer. I love some shimmer on the mobile lid. Usually I love a taupey color on the lid. Lips I don’t usually line. They are full enough that a shiny gloss over any lipstick or stain is enough. Or just a sparkly lip balm most days. But occasionally I have fun overlining in the center just a bit. Usually too much trouble though lol.
I love them both! I feel like the classic is sweeter looking and trendy is sort of a mean girl look! Lol I rock both! 😅 Definitely the classic base is the way to go. I think the trendy one is more fun to see blended out for mass audience views on social media, but as you demonstrated, it doesn’t compare with classic proper application. I love both and at 57 I do a bit of both, sort of a hybrid look. For the life of me even though I have thin lips, I can’t seem to over line them. I always feel like I look clownish.

Finally, I’m not the only one that thinks under painting is a TikTok gimmick. It might be useful when you need to lighten a much to dark shade of contour cream but otherwise it’s useless. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ❤ your techniques made me a better makeup user 😊
I dont have tiktok but I hate the “trends” that seems to appear in that social media. There are just the same techniques we’re seeing since years ago when youtubers like Wayne Goss, Lisa Eldridge and even Andreea started! The under painting it’s the preferred technique of Scott Barnes and even he accepts that is a lot of effort and that looks good for red caroet but not necessary in real life!
Both looks are beautiful. I think for me it would depend on the day my mood. However, I am in my 60s and everything is heading south so, I am interested in technics to make the face look more lifted .
I absolutely love the timeless side ❤ To me it seems a lot less complicated than the trendy side.
Don't get me wrong, both are beautiful!! ❤ But I know I would mess up the all in one method so much! 😂

I do a 1/2&1/2. Application of base timeless,lips timeless in shape but I love a tinted balm somedays. Eyes, well that’s a hard one cuz is a half n half I like to elongate but I don’t snatch, but then I use color cuz it could be consider trendy but I apply it on a timeless way. I don’t contour cuz I’m older, but I bronze and I’m reliving my younger years by applying my blush in the trendy way cuz it gives a youth effect. That’s what make up is there for to enhance what we got and play with it to show our personality. Love this video!

I think both sides look beautiful on you but I have to say I really really love the timeless one. The timeless side you look naturally gorgeous (which you are!),…and the trendy side almost looks like you’ve had work done, less natural - not a bad thing it’s just more “made-up” and fashion forward. But if you’re going for natural beauty, it’s the timeless side 100% But that’s why makeup is so fun, you can create so many different looks! I apply my make up with trepidation, I love both sides of the application, the eyes are definitely nicer and more open on the trendy side, I prefer the lip over lining and don't particularly like the trendy application of all the products in one go, you are right it seems lazy and not enough precision ⭐️✨️🌷

Timeless base is perfect, I think the trendy way is a useless hype, it doesn't make sense to do all at the same time, because it's so much more prone to errors. The blush is soooo much more fresh and youthfull on the trendy side, I love it! Same goes for the lips, the muted/nude kind of dark mauve just looks old and boring (blush&lips).
The eyes are beautiful on both sides, timeless works always everywhere, and trendy can be for a special event (for me).
Highlighter I rather skip altogether, but I do have a cream, so trendy looks nicer and more natural for me.
Eyebrows - I think the trendy just looks funny, I rather stick to a natural timeless look.
All in all, it's a mix of both for me :)

I loved this video Andreea! And I love elements of both if these looks. Its a mix of classic and trendy for me I think. Firstly though, i will say that I do not put all the colors on my face and then blend. I would be afraid my whole face would turn into the same muddy colored mess. I usually only spot correct any blemishes or redness with some concealer as I don’t need coverage everywhere, or I do a very light base. I love cream makeup best for my slightly mature dry skin, with a minimum of powder on my t zone to set it. I’ve always done my blush angled toward my temple, even since I was a teen. I have naturally thicker and nicely shaped eyebrows so I only use a little something to keep them in place. For eyes, I love a little flick at the edge of the eye to lift a bit and I’ve always done this too. My eyes are a good size for my face and accenting them is not too difficult. For Eyeshadow I like a mix of both again. Not too crazy, usually one to two colors as I have a natural darkness in my crease as I am olive light skinned, but I like to play a bit with different colors all over as a one and done in the summer. I love some shimmer on the mobile lid. Usually I love a taupey color on the lid. Lips I don’t usually line. They are full enough that a shiny gloss over any lipstick or stain is enough. Or just a sparkly lip balm most days. But occasionally I have fun overlining in the center just a bit. Usually too much trouble though lol.
I like to do the timeless in the morning and more to trendy side at night. I love both!
I love them both! I feel like the classic is sweeter looking and trendy is sort of a mean girl look! Lol I rock both! 😅 Definitely the classic base is the way to go. I think the trendy one is more fun to see blended out for mass audience views on social media, but as you demonstrated, it doesn’t compare with classic proper application.
