As an American the fact a unit so small and shrouded in secrecy can do the impossible and unnoticed is a scary thought. Counties send entire forces to do a job and often fail, send in the SAS and they’ll have it done before you scratched your ass. As level headed guy, mad respect to the SAS for giving the rest of the world even a fraction of knowledge to create other special forces

The first 2 series were the best! Chris Ryan is in this episode, he is the team leader of blue team, I know when Chris Ryan was in the SAS he wasn't liked very much by his colleagues. Such a shame they killed all the S1&2 characters off at the start of S3, this is my favourite episode, it's very realistic when they storm the building, and the flash bangs/stun grenades blow all the glass out. i can not believe that Jamie didn't lock his car door so anyone could just open it and grab at him !! i didn't know that Jamie knew the "Red Ranger Gelding Grip" , i"t's a manly way to grab your foe" and it works great too !!

It's a little bit unbelievable that a sergeant such as Henno can run the entire SAS Regiments. His word, apparently, is God. Do me a favour! In reality the 22nd is split up into 4 sections each of which has a major in overall command.

I have not watched this series in years and it is just as good as I remember, but I have to wonder how much of it is accurate, not the actual tactics etc but more about the interaction between the players, “never call a Rupert Sir” is a prime example, obviously the SAS operate completely differently to the rest of the armed forces but is their interactions really that blaze’, for want of a better word, not that it matters as this is just a tv show.

A trooper can do near enough their full contract in the regiment, offers are on short term postings,
The Chinese Parliament thing, where they take I'm put regardless of rank is a part of the training/planning aspect. Each person is taken to be a experienced professional and their advice and opinion matters.
They are teams of highly trained specialists and that is taken into account
It's a more close knit, more casual thing.
