Kingdom Hearts is my all time favorite series and I love playing Minecraft. What better way to combine the two? You can follow our progress on our "Kingdom Hearts II Recreation Project" at my Planetminecraft!!
You were right about one thing, Ansem. We definitely had a fun journey.
Seeing the first main antagonist of the series die for good was a bit sad.The adventure started with him after all.
All begin in darkness, and in darkness all will end
There is more to seek. So go forth now and seek it.
He also indirectly caused the adventure by visiting his young self, and setting his heart on the path.
I honestly teared up a bit
I know this comment was a long time ago, but figured I’d comment anyway.
The darkness in Riku’s heart is Ansem, and as long as that darkness exists, Ansem can still potentially return in some form. He was always my favorite of the Xehanorts, and I think it would be interesting if he did return even if for a limited time.
This was striking the first time it played. You can hear Xehanort’s exhaustion and relief that he will finally be free of his obsession. Shimomura just knows how to convey emotion. Her music is the heart of the series.
Ansem: What? It is time to move on, boy.
I swear, you and I cross paths every single time! I don't understand!
There is more to seek. So go forth now and seek it.
It really felt like he was talking to us directly, I’ll remember you Ansem, my greatest enemy that gave me the most touching sentence personality
God, this death REALLY hit me hard. I’ve grown up with this series. Ansem was *the* first big bad. To see him go, for good, and how he’s telling us to move on and seek more is just... powerful. What an amazingly written villain. Nomura my hat goes off to you.
I like how, out of all the main Norts (i.e one who was actually Xehanort to begin with), Ansem actually sent us off with a surprisingly nice(?) piece of advice.
I think by the end, he was starting to like Sora and the Lights just a little bit, even if he wouldn't admit it.
hilarious compared to Young Xehanort who gets pissed he lost, says "Rip bozo, L" and leaves
The shadow of Xehanort's once-lost heart realizes what the man himself denies; that "becoming darkness itself" and amassing all that power amounted to absolutely nothing for him in the end. An epiphany doomed to be forgotten as he returns to the past.
Thank you for the outstanding 17 years of this character that started the franchise.
RIP Ansem, Seeker of Darkness (2002-2019)
What? It is time to move on, boy. *sniff* :(
Yo this song hits different when realize his final words were really future sora AKA remind sora the fact that he's telling him there's still more and incurageing him to go forth and seek but how he's also telling him to move on from Kairi because of the price he'll have to pay really shows that he respects and cares for sora in some weird way and I really like. Also it kinda feels like he's talking to us the player when he tells us there is more now go fourth and seek it as if he's telling us there are more adventures more kingdomhearts games in the future to enjoy as well as many other game franchises and that we should go fourth and seek and enjoy those other games and I really like that aspect of it as well.
Ansem... I'm gonna miss him. He was the first villain after all, and none of this would have been possible without him.
ohhh she really was able to get a kh1 vibe in this. idk how to explain but it sounds very reminiscent of kh1
it has these strings similary to the ones that play when sora meets ansem in a robe for the first time, mistery like
Sweet profile pic, dude.
it is the simple instrumentation and composition.
Ansem...
What... a journey you and I have had...
You know, it's strange. I think... I'm gonna miss you.
Your strength is vaster than darkness.
I knew I never stood a chance.
Part of me wanted to defy my fate. But when the others betrayed us, I found I did not care.
And then nothing else seemed to matter anymore.
Ansem...
What? It is time to move on, boy...
There is more to seek... So go forth now, and seek it...
RIP Ansem SoD, you will never be seen again.
As a tribute to Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. I have only one thing to say:
Thanks for being the bridge that started off this entire journey. You might've been a pain in the neck to fight and your actions are unforgivable. But in essence, he is a mere heartless, waiting to be returned to Xehanort in the afterlife, as with Xemnas. His life was practically tailored, from conception to death. But with his demise, comes a sense of conclusion and a need for return. Rest in Peace, Ansem.
Saying goodbye to the first antagonist in the series was very good to see but will always remember Ansem SOD forever
hard to believe our favorite darkness seeker is gone for good this time
The seeker of darkness finds the light
>his epithet has always been ‘seeker of darkness’
>says perhaps there is a power greater than darkness
>final words are ‘there is more to seek, so go forth now and seek it’
>as 1:07 plays
>me losing it
1:08 I'm not feeling tears coming, i swear it. Something just flew into my eyes...
I cried too
i got chills bro 😭
This... This makes me happy. Thank you.
Those beginning strings tho
What...a journey you and I have had.
You're right, Ansem. We've definitely had a journey.
He's the one I saved last. I just find it fitting to have him last, the original bad guy, encourages Sora and Riku to move on. And I feel like he was also talking to us, the players. The Nort Trio is the best boss of the series imo. I usually go the reverse chronological order. I feel like that's the canon way. To take out Young Xehanort first, then Xemnas and leave Ansem for last
I dealt with Young Xehanort first mainly because he was annoying although I was making up the order of who to fight up as I went along except for Siax and the fight where Luxord had to be fought first. From there I decided to defeat Xemnas next and leave Ansem for last simply because as you say he was the one who started everything. I do find it fitting that in the end, he ended up complementing and encouraging the two individuals whom he had tried to manipulate and defeat and yet ended up making them stronger along the way. I admit that I will miss him just as Riku said he will but ultimately as he has said, it is time to move on.
I only did it that way because it was the easiest way for me to defeat them. lol.😆
Ansem: Riku, you might be more powerful than darkness
Riku: Really?
Ansem: No
Riku: : }
yknow i dont think hes gone gone just yet. I feel like somehow theres still a part of him inside Riku, but not enough to tempt him to try to take over. Actually at this point i dont think he'd even want to try.
Just saying since Riku's heading to a world where the rules may be different, the Seeker of Darkness could offer helpful advice when facing a different kind of darkness
Ansem the first boss of kh 1 and chain of memories Riku's story I'm definitely gonna him.
There is still so much left to seek. So go forth and seek it.
I probably butchered the quote.
What do you think Ansem meant by saying it's time to move on?
Sora needs to forget the past and look more towards the future. Ansem had been in Riku's shadow for most of his life, just as Roxas had been in Sora's. Sometimes, you need to accept that you'll always have a shadow following you, no matter where you go. Riku came to terms with his, now it's Sora's turn.
