It’s actually very common for some bakeries and restaurants to not use gloves when touching food. The reason being that you’re more likely to wash your hands more often when you touch food without gloves because you know your hands aren’t protected, could start to smell or have the food on em, and gloves tend to give people false hope that there hands are clean and they don’t need to wash their hands and reapply gloves. I find it actually does work a lot better that way as well.
