    You sir, are the reason, from your book back in 1972, (I was age 12), that sealed the deal for me to become a firefighter. I can never thank you enough for all you did for the fire service. God Bless you Sir.

    The fascination and respect he holds these past firefighters is what we hold him too as today. We should be proud to attempt to carry on his legacy as he carried theirs. I hope he knew that before his passing.

    I have known many brave men, lost friends, loved being part of

    My dad was LT Jimmy Cummings, 31 truck from 1975 to 1988. I practically grew up in La Casa Grande.

      He was author of Report from Engine Company 82. Bronx is Burning was a PBS documentary based on Dennis' era and district.
