This was our very first time playing together actually! We'd like to play more cons, but each of us has a complicated schedule so it's a bit difficult unfortunately.
Are you guys ever going to invest in an electric violin, or does that not interest you? I love Don Sugarcane Harris and he absolutely rocks the electric volin.
Good question! I have a lot of experience working with an electric violinist in a previous band I've been in. Electric violins certainly make live playing a lot easier in a rock band context (i.e., no worries about feedback). That said, (in my opinion) they don't sound great recording-wise, so getting one would really only be useful for our band if we are playing a lot of shows (it's a large investment). However, I did chat with Michaela about alternate pickup ideas for her acoustic violin that should help mitigate feedback that we may look into for the next show we play. If you're more interested in how an electric violin would give more variety to our arrangements, I think that instead expanding arrangements with different keyboard patches / multiple keyboards would be an easier path to start down for now.
Those time signature changes - unf. And really cool solos! Great job guys!
Thanks!! We tried to prog it up.
woooo secret of mana is awesome, and throwing a remix tune is even better!
Thanks!! Yeah this one is a fun arrangement to play. But it's hella difficult.
Awesome!!
3:13 excellent!!
From one of my favourite games! :)
Yup, it's a great one! Feels a bit cumbersome today though when you go back and play it.
so good
Thanks!!

I prefer the tone of acoustic violin over e-violin, but I'll definitely consider it as an alternative :')
