  • Great US female fronted hard rock/melodic metal band. The track chosen is one of their heaviest and quite proggy and can be found in "Going Crazy" (1992 - Dream Circle) album.
    Lineup:
    Lizz Vandall (vocals)
    Phil Woodward (guitar
    Diane Arens (keyboards)
    Pat Kara (bass)
    Kevin Millar (drums)
    LYRICS
    (Arens/Vandall/Woodward)
On and on they traveled so far
    Never knowing where
    Reading messages, reading cards
    Moonlight games of solitaire
The wagon shows, the mystery towns
    Do their best to survive
They've got nowhere, got no place to call home
The wind is calling them home
    Life was so simple then
A warm meal got you by
Once ruled by his sacred hand
    And moralistic pride
So many advances made, but tell me
    Where are we now
We're each a number, computer card
The dollar's worth more than we are
    Are we so sophisticated
Life's gotten oh so complicated, I know
    Changes - so many changes
    Spinnin' all around me
    Changes - too many changes
    On and on
It used to be so simple then
    It's all too easy now
We reap the harvest and rape the land
And hide out heads in the clouds
The answer lies in space, they say
    But where are we now
Without a voice, we've got no choice
So the dollar's gonna take us to the sun
    Are we so sophisticated
Life's gotten oh so complicated, I know
    Changes - so many changes
    Spinnin' all around me
    Changes - too many changes
    Keep movin' on
    Changes - so many changes
    Spinnin' all around me
    Changes - too many changes
    (Solo)
    Changes -- so many changes
    Where are we now
    Changes - too many changes
Tell me where are we, where are we now
    Life was so simple then
A warm meal got you by
    Changes - everything keeps changing
    Changes - so many changes
From one place to another we just keep movin' on
    Changes - too many changes
From one place to another we'll just keep movin' on
Oh we'll just keep movin' on
Oh we'll just keep movin' on and on and on and on and on and on and
    on and on and on

I agree, the vocals sound similar, but Malteze is in overall more metallic than Sahara. The song chosen here is one of the album's heavier track, the majority of the rest are melodic / hard rock-ish, still very good stuff though.
"Count your blessings" by Malteze is by the way one of my favorite female-fronted metal albums. \m/
