    It is a lots of fun to watch these videos . I'm a fish keeper with 2 -72G , 2-50G and 4- 20 G long , & 3 14 G cubes. All nano South America and Southeast Asia biotopes.

    Hey Josh, I’m not a fish expert but I believe what you called the red belly pacu it’s a mix between the tambaqui and the red belly that we call tambacú back in Brazil. Again that’s what I learned back there and I could be wrong. Thank you guys!!!

    “Beginner” & “monster fish” shouldn’t even be in the same sentence. I imagine that has a lot to do with why you are a rescue- beginners don’t know any better. That being said, lovely fish & I enjoy the channel!

    For the normal aquarist an oscar is a monster. For those with under a 75 none of these are for you. But they are some badass fish. Great video OFR

    3:20 - 3:42 Big Betty gives a 360° twirl and strikes a pose while the other two black pacu flank her.
    I'm reminded of labradors trying to be the goodest boys for some reason :)

    Great video Josh, Man i have to say that those Cichlids in the monster pond are getting big. I hope that you guys do another underwater video soon of that as well as if possible you should do the Koi pond as well.

    I’d say a “beginner monster fish keeper” would have several years of experience of regular sized fish keeping. But if someone is jumping straight into this hobby I wouldn’t recommend Aros or Pacu.

    Jardini arowana, it's come from Indonesia.. It's locality is Irian jaya, and in Indonesia we call it an arowana papua or batik arowana

    Monster fish need to stop being sold , imported and bred. Most end up at the rescue anyways.

      People should be more responsible on what they are buying. Also stores/ store owners should be more selective who they sell to

      @@zac71418 well that’s the problem. You see the people coming into a fish store are often ignorant and they don’t excpect the owner or employee to stock a fish that gets 3 feet long lol. The vast majority of people coming into the store don’t own monster tanks and aren’t experts. But the owners know these fish are cute and sell them as babies. The owners of those kinds of stores should be ashamed of themselves but some people are just evil man
