Great episode. New male journeyer. Come back soon also newly sober almost two years. Sara and Joe helped me so much when struggling with alcohol I would throw on 4th July and cry. Then I’d feel better. Thanks ladies
Such a great episode that makes me think about how much pot I smoke. Yikes. Your stories about knocking over a Jenga game and Sarah spilling a pitcher of beer on an air hockey table had me in stitches too. 😆
I am on board with your 21:06 theory of people just dealing with generational substance abuse trauma couched as “oh dad, he liked to throw em back” I’ll be 3 years alcohol free this Friday. Great ep! 👏
Ladies I am 7 years sober on the 31st .. just don't hurt yourself or anyone else and have fun from time to time. I realized that I was unable to just catch a buzz and chill. So when I turned 50 and decided enough. BUT I did struggle for a long time. When its time to stop you will, I hope.. Thank you for sharing and I will continue to enjoy this journey from the sidelines...
It's refreshing to hear from someone in YT comments in long-term sobriety who isn't all "What took me so long? I couldn't be happier! Could not imagine going back!" It's a balance. A journey, if you will 😉. Drinking serves its purpose and we can only hope that our lives get more and more fulfilling so that drinking becomes an increasingly less necessary/appealing option. I'm happy that you got there!
Great episode ladies! Katie, I've smoked daily since I was 21 (35 soon!) and I know exactly what you're talking about. I isolate and stay home too much then wonder why I'm sad lol thank you for sharing. Very inspiring and something for me to think about :) please keep us updated with this journey!
Love this! 4 years fully sober and weed was definitely the hardest. Happy to see this more common these days 🥹💜
this is a good show. and it's great that the episodes are usually short. who wants to listen to ladies for a long time anyway?

Sarah asked the key question: "Isn't having just one glass of wine painful?"
