- In Archades Larsa and Vayne are disputing Ashe's true intentions. Vayne believes she will fight while Larse believes she will look for peace. Vayne decides to sent Gabranth out after Ashe and the party to discover the true motives of the princess. Meanwhile Doctor Cid has been informed by Venat that Ashe has obtained the Treaty Blade and will be heading off to Ridorana to find the Sun-Cryst. Venat wishes for the Occuria to be destroyed and now seeks the help of Vayne and Doctor Cid to show man can rule their own history. The key to this is the nethicite and its Mist. Venat informs Vayne that he will be there to offer counsel to him during his ascendance . Back to Giruvegan the party decide to go see Reddas to see what he has learned. Thanks for watching.

Whoever did the voice behind Venat did a amazing job.
Patrick Odonnell gerun also has that cool androgynous voice
"On you, Gabranth, shall I wager all our fortunes"
*Gabranth drops ball on that one*
Vayne, Cid and Venat are ultimately successful. The bad guys win at least one of their goals. Where they lost is the PR battle
Both Gerun and Venat have good points. Gerun believes that mortal lives are to short to grasp the big picture, perhaps leading to the world's destruction. Venat believes that immortal lives are incapable of change, and thus hold the rest of the world back from achieving their potential. It's sad to see them fight.
Yeah, everyone says this game is bad but its my favourite Final Fantasy. I love the political strife that is mirrored in both the Mortal and immortal worlds. It also brings up a lot of good points on destiny and who is most fit to rule.
At the end, said destruction did come.
A cataclysm occurred which drove the Moogles to extinction and causing most advanced technologies to be lost.
The archaic style of speech is truly excellent. Which studio and writers translated this?
No studio. Two guys. Only two guys translated, adapted and morphed it into the beautiful writing it has.
If you are interested in these two gentlemen then here is a link to an interview of sorts: www.google.com/amp/s/www.eurogamer.net/amp/2017-07-14-a-translators-tale-inside-the-building-of-final-fantasy-12s-ivalice

Venat speaks in iambic pentameter, and so does Vayne when he says "For too long have my deeds gone unrewarded." It's a great moment where their diction signals that their motives are aligned, and it also raises questions about Venat's.
And the Occuria speak in Iambic Tetrameter which is also a subtle way of showing Venat is a heretic.
How can one learn to talk like that?
Mike it kind of works like a heartbeat, every syllable is one beat. A heartbeat consists of two beats, a short one followed by a longer one. (da-DUM) Basically emphasise every second syllable. Repeat this 5 times for pentameter, 4 for tetrameter.
The dialogue in this game is wonderful
Venat is NOT a villain - things aren't always black and white; don't be so simple guys. Wanting humanity to have self-determination and thus subsequently freeing them from Occurian manipulation is not an evil motive at all!
I FEEL LIKE this ff out of them all had a pretty damn good story if not the best one.
It depends really considering the other Occuria are hinted to be WAY WORSE than Venat-but yeah he is a villain
Ultimately Venat gives humans (and all other sentients) the freedom to control themselves. It is no hero and his methods are questionable but they are nontheless effective and for their part 'good'
The hell are you talking about? Vayne's voice actor was great.
For too long my deeds have gone unrewarded
I guess it's the whole being so Ruthless for the Empire-everyone is afraid of him not prideful
I want to hear Venat talk forever....
i guess it all depends on how much more wise the occurias are than men. imagine a group of professors guiding a larger group of preschool kids. then the kids rebeled and tried to take the only means for the professors to guide them. devoid of guidance perhaps only ruin awaits them.
When you discover that the Archadian Empire's lead weapons researcher, wielding the equivalent of uranium, is not just crazy and talking to himself. But is in fact talking to a heretical god. Good times!
They should have had a Venat mark or a sequel that deals with it being the main villian.
you only need one person to cast libra to see traps and the enemy's stats you know
you are wasting a gambit that could be used to buff your party
Maybe it was meant to be a joke?
0:21 bad voice acting there by vayne
Why are all your characters casting libra at the end?
Venat, the true villain of Final Fantasy XII ladies and gentlemen.
Venat is the hero, freeing mankind from the control of gods, and returning the reins of history back into the hands of man.
How is Vena't the villain? It wants humanity to have the power of self-determination. The Arcadian empire aren't exactly the "good" guys or the "bad" guys it's not quite that simple, the universe isn't that simple... The Arcadian empire merely believe that the end justifies the means; but they ought to be more sorrowful for the war and grief that their empire wrought on innocent people, that is their tainted quality; however Vayne Solidor even says that if he had more time he would have conducted more "prudent" measures.
True, the Occuria were rather manipulative with the heroes of the story (disguising as Rasslor in order to lead Ashe down the path they chose for her), but keep this in mind, were it not for Venat teaching the Archadians how to use and create Nethecite, the Occuria wouldn't have gone to such extremes.
Occuria are true genderless Digimon and Nights character alt not genderless at all.
