Wonderful video!! It’s neat hearing it from the service member’s perspective. Most videos I’ve found on UA-cam are done by spouses. I’m actually a military spouse about to move to Germany! My husband is there already because I have to finish out nursing school in a couple months. I just started a UA-cam series about PCSing to Germany and your video showed up in the queue under mine! Thanks again for all the tips :)
Absolutely one of the best videos I have seen. Excellent job explaining exactly what to expect. Very very few UA-cam videos explain things this well. Can't say it enough - darn good video.
Great info bro. Was stationed at Ramstein for 8 years. On a short tour now and headed to Spangdahlem in 2 months. Can’t wait man. Germany is where it’s at.
I remember I first watched this and was hoping we would get a slot and found out a month ago we got it. Germany next year 💪🏾💪🏾. Great video and keep up the great work!
Great Video with the exception of the title "PCSing 2018", and many things changed since your 2015 departure. DL can now be done online prior to your PCS & ur International License can be received upon arrival. The HUB for all flights to Germany is through ATL, unless you have pets you will travel out of DC. Upon arrival in STR there is no holding area, sponsor picks u up, or u taxi it to your hotel. Lodging is up to 90 days in hotel, & on base housing is based on availability if its not available you will live on the economy (It's not optional). If you PCS to Stuttgart, transportation is not an issue using public transportation, free transport from base to base, a 2nd car is optional.
Tayontae Lee Yay! That’s exciting! Do you have Instagram? I completely agree with you I’m nervous about it too... but I’m looking forward to the travel opportunities over there so that’s a better outlook and new experiences overall! Hope everything goes smooth for you and your fam ☺️
Elena M Awesome! We will be there September 15 when do y’all arrive? What part of Germany did you and your family get stationed at? We will be in Vilseck. Never really thought the day will be here lol but it’s getting close and I’m getting more nervous 😂 I thought I’d be more excited by now since it’s approaching but still somewhat excited for the new experience and future traveling 😊 I wish y’all good luck during your move and getting settled in soon!
Sounds like it's mostly still the same as it was PCSing in 2004. Sponsors are a big deal to have in the first 60 days. If your sponsor isn't willing to help ask for another one. Ours was not willing to help us get to base. Travel, travel, travel!
Ha ha, airplane food. I get it, it's not 5 star dining, believe me I know having PCS'ed a couple of times. And paperwork; you'll have paperwork to cover paperwork. It's redundant, but it's the military.
Hi Taylor thanks for watching the video. I PCS'd to Germany 2013 and stayed through 2015. It was an awesome experience!! If you any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
The Official Ricky Bowden if I'm not mistaken i believe you stated you had a link to where you can purchase clippers that are compatible in Europe? I didn't see a link I'll be PCSing to germany next year.
AAA European License is ONLY good for German plated cars. You CANNOT drive a USAREUR plated car with a AAA International license. Great video tho! Brought back lots of memories. I worked and lived there from 2003-2015.
This was hands down the most useful PCS video I have seen. Thank you for taking the time to go over all the pertinent information.
Alpha Exe Glad this helped, thanks for watching

Awesome video! Thank you!
Great video thank you!! Did you have to pay for all that extra baggage?! I wish there was a class for us to take for this move. It’s scary!
No we didn’t, everybody traveling gets 2 bags plus a carry on
Great video! I just wanted to ask you to tell prices for what you are talking about, it's gonna help even more! Thank you!!!
Great video!!!
That was so insightful
Thank you soooo much
Never understood why US troops get VAT back.
Great video. The information you provided are some excellent source of information
+Angele Persaud that was the goal, glad you got something from it.
Very helpful video thanks.
Thank you dude
Thanks so much for this video!
This was soooo helpful thank you so much
Annalise Cuvas no problem at all, thanks for watching!
How much is the BAS there? We’re looking to PCS there in 6 months or so! Your video was super helpful!
BAS is roughly the same as it is in the states. While you're pcsing each family member will receive per diem for the entire time you're in the hotel.
So what if you still owe money on your phone from your carrier? They can still unlock it as long as they have your orders? Please go in depth pleaseo
Can't you imagine that things might have changed within the last two years??
Great video, thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Great video! I’m going there as a civilian. Is it possible to live on post as a GS employee?
When did you PCS to Germany? The way you phrase things makes it sound like it was a while ago?
Hi Taylor thanks for watching the video. I PCS'd to Germany 2013 and stayed through 2015. It was an awesome experience!! If you any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I want to go to Germany
Do u get cola for living on post?
AFEEZ ONIYIDE yes
Finance don't playyyy
I graduated ait and my drill seargent is refusing to let me pcs can I request pcs after I get there
3:17 Not true. When I did my PCS from Tennessee to Germany, I flew out of Atlanta to Frankfurt on Lufthansa.
They don't do that anymore, because of an attack on a soldier at Frankfurt. Thanks for watching
My friend... After you say "Umm" and "Awe.." You put people to sleep... Speak what you mean to say and mean what you speak.
I have so many more questions !!!! Lol help !
+Auja Jene send me a DM on IG and I’ll do my best to answer them.
Totally loved Germany (Stuttgart)!
All good info - this is one of the best informative vids out there. It's my first PCS and I picked up a lot of tips from your wisdom.
This is the most helpful video on UA-cam. I’m PCSing to Germany in August. Thank you
Thanks for watching! You're going to have a blast!
