Awww thank you so much!! I appreciate that. :) Thanks for subscribing and I hope you find my other videos useful! Please let me know if you have any specific questions.
As I'm German and living in Germany it may not be very helpful to me in that particular situation but nevertheless highly interesting how it all works, what you had to consider and how you organized yourself. Well done and you did an amazing presentation.! And girl I can tell you, you are truly well organized and imho you'll fit very well in the german culture. Being prepared, doing your research and being excited about the whole process. 😊
Andy Koenigsdorf thank you so much!! That is very meaningful. I love being organized and know that a little planning for the future will go a long way. Very much enjoying my time so far in Germany! Tschüss!
This is fantastic! Thank you for such a detailed video! We’re unofficially PCSing to S Korea this summer (waiting on our RFO) and I already got a basic binder but now I think I need to go back and get this fancy one!
Yay you're welcome!! I'm glad you found it helpful. I just started selling my Overseas PCS Binder pages on Etsy, if you'd like some help in compiling your binder! :) bit.ly/pcsbinder Please let me know if you have any questions about overseas PCSing!
Yay!! Yep good call there. As soon as your names are on the orders, you can go ahead and apply for your no-fee passport! :) That process was pretty easy!
Hello, where does one get the deferred authorization amendment? I am in the EFMP process but am already experiencing issues. I would like to avoid more delays, therefore the amendment you mentioned is helpful.
Hi there! That is something your service member will need to ask his chain of command/sponsorship team in the gaining unit overseas. I believe they are the ones who authorize the deferment.
I'm so sorry for being behind with responding to comments! I hope this isn't too late. It all depends on the office and how busy they are, but under or within a month would be reasonable to expect.
Hello Megan! Thanks for the question. He went through HRC for the amendment. Now, this was coming off of the Reserves into Active Duty, so it may be different if you're already Active Duty. But that's what the process was for us.
I believe the red passport is only for government personnel. I could be wrong on that. But for military spouses, their no fee passport looks exactly like the regular travel passport except it has the SOFA stamp inside (basically a Visa allowing entrance and exit from Germany at will).
It's been awhile since I made this video so I can't remember where in the video you may have picked up that information - but no, the government does NOT cover pet travel expenses. I'm sorry if anything I said made it sound like they do. Individuals are solely responsible for paying for all pet-related fees. We paid $275 for our 75 lb German Shepherd to be shipped here via Patriot Express.
Such a great idea! I''ll definitely be making a PCS binder now. We are excited to move to Germany!
McCall Randall I’m so glad you found this useful! Best wishes on your PCS! Which base are you going to?
This is the most informative PCS binder video on UA-cam! Thank you so much! New subbie!!MadLove💜

Great idea! I used the accordion organizer every time I PCS. Great video!
Thank you very much, Angelina! :)
I’m very organized myself! This is super helpful. I’m hoping we PCS to Germany!
I'm so glad, thank you!
I just ran to find my passport to make sure it's not expired or close to expiring lol 😂 my son just got his first tourist passport 🤗

@@blackriflehomestead I appreciate your reply and all of the information. Thank you.
Great information but for those that are enlisted and not officers please note Officers get RFOs, Enlisted get PCS Orders.
Officers also get PCS Orders after receiving an RFO. ;)
What is a PCS binder for?
It’s for keeping all your PCS related documents organized and in an easy to access place.
How long does it take to get cleared from Efmp if you don’t have any medical conditions

Hello! Who did your husband contact in order to amend his orders? We have to switch mine to deferred as wel

Where is the empf done? Is it on a military base?
I think I replied to you via FB messenger but for anyone else seeing this and wondering: yes, the EFMP screening is done one base at the EFMP office.
@@blackriflehomestead Do you know early you can do it? Does it need to be within a certain time frame of leaving?
Wait the government covered your pet travel expenses??? How????
