- Hey all, throughout December (and possibly into January) I'll be putting out brief history videos on all 12 NPB teams. The next video will be on the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks.

The Hanshin Tigers have won the Japan Series for their second title since 1985! The curse of Colonel Sanders has finally been lifted.
And now we need an update. The Colonel has forgiven everything and the world is at peace.
Who else is here after the Tigers ended the Curse of the Colonel???
Hanshin may be the little brother to the mammoth from Tokyo in terms of on field success, but the team is still arguably has the best atmosphere and one of the most passionate fan bases you could ask for in Japan. Especially when they play out of Koshien. It's just a shame that owners of the team are just so damn cheap. Great video as always, Gaijin Baseball.
Koshien is a beautiful place to see a game. Tokyo Dome feels like a prison complex in comparison. ;)
>Last championship was in the 80s
>Once in a while deep playoff run
>Notorious penny pinching owners
>Mess of a front office
Sound exactly like my Mets (until we got new owners but we still suck😔)
YOUR 2023 JAPAN SERIES CHAMPIONSSSSSS
It's finally been lifted
Curse of the Colonel Sanders (1985-2023) Tigers won the 2023 Japan Series 4 games to 3 in seven
Hahahaha the constant Colonel Sanders fade-ins and outs are just great.
I`ve been following this Club since 2002. Hanshin Tigers Problem. Huge Baseball Club being run by and like a small railroad company and it won`t change.
Finally, Hanshin Tigers became a winner!
Just won the Japan series!
@@richardwhitehead6966 Congratulations! We're so lucky to see the victory!
Stumbled upon the Hashin Tigers while watching Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations in Osaka, and decided they felt a lot like the Philadelphia Phillies in the USA. Decided to get a hat the next day. I'm a Tiger's fan for life. Feels like our sister team across the Pacific!
Let's Go Tigers 🐯
My Favorite team thanks!
My team! Go tigers 🐯
Well….would you look at that?
Very informative and well done! I am slowly making my way through all your 'brief history' videos and increasing my knowledge of Japanese baseball.
Hey!! That's the team that a local Japanese resto in Makati in the Philippines supports, they have Tigers memorabilla and a flag. Pretty much the reason I got into the NPB in 2021, but also because of the Olympics.
Yesss! The okonomiyaki place!!
Is it in Little Tokyo?if not where????
@@MrBlazemaster525 Yes, Little Tokyo, Makati City.
WHICH ONE LOL@@jmramos0109

Hanshin Tigers, your 2023 Japan Series champions!
How ironic that you use the footage of Seibu Dome full of Hanshin fans for "Wind of Mt.Rokko".
When my dad went to Japan for a business trip back in 2015 he brought back a Hanshin Tigers shirt and hat for me, and although they no longer fit me, the Tigers are still my favorite NPB team. If there’s a way for me to stream NPB in North America, I’d really like to watch them.
Also my dad likes the Hiroshima Toyo Carp because his favorite MLB team is the Cincinnati Reds and the logos look almost exactly identical.
I wonder if I can wear a Carp hat to Great American Ball Park and pass it off as a Reds hat (even with the NPB logo on the back).
I'm a Carp fan myself. I have Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2015 and would play as them. They had a lot of potential. Go Carp!
Looks like Hankyu wants to revisit the days of the Braves by inserting Okada back into the managerial position.
This was the first NPB team I knew off thanks to a japanese book named The Housekeeper and the professor. Good to know about their full history.
same, im rooting for them because of it but because they just wagon im going to sound like a bandwagon fan lpl
I prefer the Giants but I can't hate the Tigers, they are so lovable, everything about them is fantastic: their stadium, their uniforms, their fans, etc
Suddenly have an urge to get KFC and I have no idea why......🐔
Just a few things to nitpick at. Gene Bacque did not really contribute to the pennant in 1962. He joined the team midyear and his numbers were not that great. It was definitely Murayama and Koyama. The statue of the Colonel was discovered in 2009 which makes me wonder why it came after Matt Murton (2010) in the video. Not trying to take away from the video and the work you put into it because it's quite outstanding.
Was awesome buddy See how foreign people just love all American people do this is a great job you did on this buddy
Its time for an update video
Losers No More Since Last Night! 😎👍⚾️🍻🇯🇵
Legacy of failure official gone!
Emulating a Detroit based sports organization. It was truly over before it started 💔
first video I have seen from you, insta sub !
“Okada has been rehired let’s see how that goes” …. Pretty well actually 😅
Awesome video. Go Hawks! The original Osaka team.
Does anybody know where to watch Japanese baseball when your in the usa
素晴らしいショートドキュメンタリーですね。ありがとう!
カーネルサンダースさんがついにお許しになられたwww
あと、奥浩哉の話ではあれは宇宙人ですからね(^ω^)
Mmm... KFC
Fun fact the parent company of the Tigers; the Hanshin Electric Railway corp. merged with Hankyu Railway, the former owners of the Hankyu Braves (aka Orix Buffaloes) in the early 2000s so technically it’s the Hankyu Tigers lol
their front office really is killing their chances
More like lovable winners!
Great. Now I want KFC.
so they’re the mets?
Eh, most Mets fans who are in to NPB pick the Swallows as their team.
I'd say that the Cubs and Red Sox are better comps.
more like red sox, since red sox had similiar curse like Hanshin
