The house has a structural failure, Sketchup will find it. I'm guessing the garage sunk and tilts (racks) to the extent that you can see it along the eaves and ridge lines. House went up about 20 years before the garage, and the sharp-edged stone under it wasn't compacted sufficiently. Probably just raked it out and poured the slab. Will you draw a perfect house or a replica?
Hey, thanks for the video. I would like to do the same with a pile of dirt and I would like to get model plus to calculate the volume of dirt. can you make a video like that?
I really like the Mavic - it's very stable in the wind, and I really like the portability over the Phantom - I've been very impressed with it so far. Thanks for watching!
Nice big back yard you have & no overlooking neighbours, no problems turning the stereo up high 😋 !! I've tried photo match several times and always had difficulty getting the Origin axes to line up correctly. No way of adjusting the blue vertical line to line up with the photo without skewing off the red or green. Then I have difficulty getting photo match to project the image on a completed face! Any hints on how to overcome this would be appreciated !
Is it a bug, that if you decide to delete the source photo/scene tab, your match photo overlay also disappears and a couple of hours work too (thank heavens for Undo ... Lifesaver!!)
Would this technique also be possible to do with an areal photo taken from above? Im trying to photo match a photo that is taken by a drone facing downwards, and is a hassle.
Nice work Justin, id export the images as unique textures at the end and create a texture atlas so all images share the same texture, helps reduce draw calls, keep up the good work
Interesting - I'm assuming this would be for work in something like Unity or Unreal Engine? Or does this work the same way with SketchUp as well? Thanks for watching!
I usually do it for optimising assets for unity, however if you were to render it in sketchup the more textures you use the longer it takes for the renderer to process and give a final result, I always try to create a texture atlas to improve performance

omfg YOU ... with no hat ! hahahaha
LOL - it doesn't happen often ;p
I always wear a white flat cap (everyone wears baseball caps) when out & feel unbalanced without it !!
Great video. Glad to see that you're using a Mavic Pro too.

You should be able to adjust the direction of the blue line by adjusting the red and green perspective lines.

Depends on the perspective lines. Perspective lines are everything with Match Photo

I'll have to give this a try - I've never actually tried anything like it before - thanks for the tip!
Great video , in October 2020 Are there no better, easier solutions now?
Drone deploy and reality capture are both good! Drone deploy is expensive but a great software
So could you take a picture 90 degrees to the house and apply the Texture to that in front view in SU
Exactly, so if you wanted to, you could get closer, more high resolution shots and apply them to each individual face of the house - thanks!
why do you haye to play the music so loud
