    You can acheive many cool sounds with this pedal ! Many people consider that the Strymon Timeline or Eventide Timefactor are the best delay stompboxes, but this little guy can do a lot of different sounds for 1/3 of the price. Had a lot of fun experimenting with it !
    Again, this is a demo like I would want all UA-cam demos to be: lots of different sound examples and no talking. Straight to the sounds. Hell yeah.

      you can eventually get as good as him or even better with good understanding of how tempo works. this is the key to unlocking any delay or other modulation

    Really nice. From other demos, I was afraid the different FX types would all sound the same, but it seems like you have to turn up the FX Level knob quite a bit, and then everything suddenly sounds amazing. Thanks :D

    I love this pedal in the stereo output. That's what I want to do with 2 sets of stereo speakers and use ping pong to go from the left set of speakers to the right set of speakers. My Crate Power Block amp will do this since it has left and right stereo effects loops.

      I just saw in another comment he said he’s doing volume swells with his guitar knob, so it’s eliminating the pick attack, which gives just the lush mod sound. Sold me on this pedal too!

    I see the fx level is very high I find this delay very "shy" my dd3 works better for me, I almost gave up on the Flashback but watching this video changed my mind, I think it just need more wet signal as I see here

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  8 років тому +1

      I think, more wet signal would be a little bit too much for my taste, but I agree it's nice to have the option!

    • @Koraxus
      @Koraxus 6 років тому

      it is not shy at all. for the price it is (it costed me 98 dollars new in some discount page) this is pretty fucking awesome.
      do not expect a strymon or the more advanced version of this (flashback x4) of course. those are on a whole diff level.
      what do you think of the andromeda or nemesis?

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  7 років тому +4

      The tap tempo is very different than any other pedal. You have to keep pressing the switch, strum the tempo you want on your guitar and release the switch. I find it's pretty accurate for a pedal that does not have a dedicated tap tempo switch!

    hi sir! do you remember how the loop mode works? does it have undo redo or work like ditto looper? and does the loop mode works on stereo? tc have not reply my email yet.. lol..

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  8 років тому

      from what I remember, there is infinite overdubs, but no way to undo unless deleting the whole loop. the looper worked very well for me and is a nice addition to an already complete delay pedal. looper works in stereo but you get twice less time (20 seconds in stereo 40 seconds in mono). pretty much like the ditto except no undo/redo and less recording time, but who needs 5 minutes for 1 loop? ;)

    • @resisaputra269
      @resisaputra269 8 років тому

      Monochrome Seasons yeepp! Absolutely! I don't need 5 minutes of recording time.. but i need undo redo button lol.. i guess i have to buy a proper looper pedal haha.. (because i think its a waste of money to buy a proper looper pedal just for a simple looping activities)

    An amazing sounds! Great stereo demo! I have one myself and it's really does a great job. Question: how did you recorded it in stereo?

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  8 років тому +3

      I plug my guitar in the INPUT, and my other 2 cables plugged in the OUTPUT go to 2 amplifiers.
      Those 2 amplifiers are miced with one Shure SM57 microphone each and those microphones are plugged into 2 channels of my audio interface so I can record them simultaneously. After I pan the first amp Left and the second amp Right!

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  8 років тому

      +Richie san lazaro Thanks :) The Flashback sounds more like a digital delay, so I'll suggest to get something that sounds different, like and analog or tape-sounding delay. It depends on your budget and how many features you want on your pedal. On a smaller budget MXR Carbon Copy and Malekko EKKO 616 could be great options, but if you have the money I can't hide that I'm sold to the Strymon El Capistan and the Diamond Memory Lane Jr. I own both delays since a long time and I love them :)

      Can Öner definitely. Depending on the setting, I've found mine to be very transparent. The only knock I have is setting tap tempos seems to be inconsistent and allows initial sound through so it's not great for changing live/on the fly (however this could be that I don't fully understand it yet).

    Is the Flashback a good choice to stack with Strymon El Cap, right now I have the Strmon El cap, Blue sky, carbon copy, and cronoa choirs. Liking to replace the carbon copy with the flashback. Thanks

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  9 років тому +1

      It all depends of what you want to use it for ! I use my El Capistan as my main delay and stack the Flashback in Ping Pong mode to spread the delays between two amps. That's the primary reason why I bought the Flashback. If you want a kind of ''always on'' delay, the Carbon Copy will be just fine ! The Carbon Copy copy sounds ''warmer'' than the Flashback delay, even in the ''Analog mode''. I say, If you don't need all the extra delay types, stick with the Carbon Copy, but if you want more versatility, go with the Flashback !

    • @Iceeeeeeecold
      @Iceeeeeeecold 9 років тому

      Yeah I'm looking to do some more ambient sounds for pads and church stuff. So I need something that has more versatility.

    • @AntoineMichaudGuitar
      @AntoineMichaudGuitar  9 років тому

      Great :) Then, yes I recommend it ! If you get the Flashback, try it in ping pong mode in stereo stacked with the El Capistan with a lot of repeats ! It's the best way to get a wider swell/pad sound that takes a lot of space for ambient music !
