All songs were one take and improvised to keep the aspect of music and life that matter most. Tracklist: 0:00 The Beginning 11:20 The Winds that Bring You Home 19:47 Cuban Dance / Between Fire and Water 25:48 David's Entry 34:12 The Dragon Sleeps 38:34 The Song of the Golden Dragon 45:57 The Phoenix's Song 52:14 Dance of Light
All is nice, believe me, but I think a compressor is needed. In any case, congratulations, the recording sounds very natural, there are no noises, and the reverb effects are very well balanced. This last theme is unknown to me, but I liked it a lot.
Liking or disliking a thing does not make a thing better or worse, so I usually don't do it. Thumbs up for going to the effort of sharing your playing, it's inspirational. I really enjoyed David's entry. Was that one original? Loved your interpretation of the flight of the golden dragon! To me it reminded me of a travellor telling the legend of a time he went for a bush walk and saw the greatest thing he had ever seen, this golden dragon flying high above the trees, putting on a show by breathing fire into the air while dipping and twirling in flight. The subdued playing and sound worked well here.
Thank you, thank you my friend. David's Entry is actually a Estas classic, you should definitely look it up. Although, my interpretation is quite different. Golden Dragon is by far one of my favorite pieces to completely rewrite parts and improvise melodies. Whenever I play it, it always ends up in a completely different place then last time
Amazing playing, absolutely nailed not just the sound but the whole playing /picking style and also the tempo of the great man himself. Very impressive with the improvisations as well and not just a note for note copy. Authentic and intelligent. Can i ask when do you use the micro pog? Is it throughout the whole performance or is it just used to create the intro drone?
Thank you friend, that means a lot to hear that. The Micro POG was actually only used for the David's Entry bit and the Phoenix's Song as well as Dance of Light. The intro drone was just the Freeze with the Hall of Fame. Many thanks brother
Many thanks for your reply. Your next recording should just be your improvisations, including the ones you did in your slicer videos...they are all super impressive. 👏

You rock jonah so beautiful you are mastering estas's style so good! Keep it up always here supporting you.
PS
Are you on standard tuning?
Thanks man! I technically am in standard tuning but just in a lower frequency
@@hogue_music yes this is what I meant I thought your guitar sounded different and I like it. What frequency you on?
I believe it's just a whole step below standard so the tuning would be DGCFAD

Not a bad idea, I might do that. I'd like to use the Slicer more often anyway so we'll see where life leads
