I’m glad Goldie is naming names of those that sexually harassed and abused her - how horrible that she and many other women (and men) have had to go through those experiences 😢
Not the poor men though.
@@CT-vm4gf of course I feel horrible for any men that have experienced it as well, Captain Deflection. But right now we’re talking about a woman’s story, so stay focused.
Men too in that industry.
Oh wait ... me too me too
pretty sure she named specific people’s names. How much more specific do you want? And yea of course men have too, and that’s awful and should also be called out, but again right now we’re talking about a woman’s story so I only referred to women. No one should be victimized like this - there, does that cover enough for you?
@@morbidmanmusic there, I edited my comment so men don’t feel left out
For Conan to be silent through a story, you know it's an impactful story. Amazing woman. Great episode too.
What a conker!
That’s the other thing. Conan demonstrated in this episode exactly why he is an exceptionally skilled comedian and host, let alone a human being. His EQ is off the charts. His level of compassion and empathy is what makes him so in tune with so many people.
Or he doesn't believe in psychics and god, etc and needs to remain respectful of those that do
I think this is the first time I see Conan listening the longest, as he should have. What an interview
Oh my gosh, this is so relatable as a woman and an important message. I so appreciate Conan's new format where guests have the time to tell their story. This is gold.
It's more than gold. It's Goldie.
I’d love to have a woman to woman conversation with her
Wow great! interview. Interesting and different.
Her stories were so amazing and horrifying and captivating all at the same time. Everyone was so quiet listening to what she had to say. This episode is one of my favorites. I know Conan was enjoying the history she was sharing with them.
Wtf are you talking about ? I'm sorry this was literalky a Debette Goldry interview. I'm amazed Conan kept it together
I fully agree.

Hardly horrifying but not for those without a bit of wherewithall.
The sad thing about #metoo is how pretty much EVERY woman in the industry has stories like this, ESPECIALLY from those generations. These stories need to be shared. These men need to be called out. I’m so thankful for someone like Goldie being willing to share her experiences.
It’s so true. But unfortunately it’s not just in this industry. It’s in every single one.
Just think ones not telling their story because they are still famous and popular same thing happened to them
It can take a lifetime to be in that place to tell such personal stories ❤
@@courtneyhodges1908 It's just life.
The WORLDS women of this generation have ALL experienced abuse of some sort or other. There was NEVER any RESPECT. And fra kly in most cultures THERE STILL ISNT ANY. We ALL fought FOR WHAT we had LEARNT to BELIEVE IN OURSELVES regardless, our capabilities and our independents. WHY? Because we had been RAISED TO BE INDEPENDENT!
she’s an amazing storyteller, so harrowing yet funny. i’m so sorry this happened to her and so many others in the industry.
no
one dares to speak, such a respect!
This podcast is so much more fulfilling than a talk show. The stories you hear on this podcast are incredible
This story is probably why we all adore Goldie, at the heart of it. You are drawn to her because you can tell at some level she could walk away from it all, and be totally happy. She's integrity and intelligence, wrapped in playful, no shits given packaging. I've loved her since Laugh-In, and so moved to hear her story in her own words. Thanks for letting her voice it, and for the upload. 💗✨
Goldie was already a legend, but this story was so important. Thank you for having her on and letting her just speak and tell it.
I could listen to her stories all day. So glad no one interrupted her stories
I would read any biography she wrote, just these snippet stories are amazing and horrifying!
edit - It's apparently "A lotus grows in the mud" and I just ordered it.
Great episode, I agree, love how the Conan team listened and allowed Goldie to share her stories. I hope this inspires other girls in the industry. Thank God she lived through that accident and continued onward to be a great actor. I have more respect for her journey to where she is today.
This might be the longest upload on this channel, but 27 minutes flew by like that.
How is she so calm while unpacking all this trauma from a literal series of SA and a near-death accident and just being so vulnerable and susceptible to exploitation as a lone young woman navigating a shady city? Like how? 😭😱
it's Coney's warmth
She’s probably dealt with the trauma through healthy outlets already, she’s old af. But also, many women back then, this wasn’t exactly acceptable behavior, but it was very common and public
I read her autobiography Lotus Flower almost twenty years ago. She has done a lot of mental and spiritual work in her life time to find her own peace, so her clarity and calm in this storytelling is not really surprising to me. I understand, though, how shocking it is to hear so much trauma being discussed in such a steady, calm way.
Guessing she's had a lot of therapy and someone helped her sort through these traumatic events.
She’s married to Kurt Russel and they raised a seemingly normal family whilst being way more blessed than others. She’s come a long way from being that nineteen year old girl. Grandparents are tough birds.
Goldie still has a lot to offer the world. She should consider taking her life and developing a limited series. I believe her life story would be teachable and inspirational.
Wow. I've been a fan of Goldie for decades, but am just in awe of her today. Great interview.
❤She has been my favourite leading lady always. Beautiful, multitalented, intelligent. Absolutely love her❤love from Finland
I loved her in Laugh In. Then she did AND made Private Benjamin and never stopped.
I love how she interacts with her family members. I love her laugh.
I will always be a fan! 💙
this episode deserves an Emmy.
wow, what a story, heartbreaking but i could hear her stories forever, what a class act
I'm sorry, I'm only 6 minutes in and she's already told two INSANE stories. What a life.
I could listen to her for hours. She’s so enthralling.
This is the most quiet I’ve ever seen Conan on any episode
The most quiet any of them have ever been!
Wow! What a master class woman.
This made me cry. I could listen to her stories forever. What a beautiful, amazing, genuinely authentic good hearted human being. Just love her. 💜💜💜
"Cheers, Niel! You seem to have won the night!"
Thank you Conan for showing so much restraint.
You know I've watched Goldie Hawn since early 70s. This woman is beyond brilliant smart intelligent. I just adore everything about her. Recently I saw an old clip of Johnny Carson from 1975. To hear her discussing how she wants to be a parent someday. She's just an amazing human being.
What a great storyteller she is. Could listen to her all day. So many laugh out loud moments from this for me. I love that you guys just stayed silent for the most part when she was telling her stories. What a legend she is and you as well Conan.
I'll never forget going to Mrs K's Tollhouse in the 70s and seeing Goldie having lunch with her mom.
This is pure strength and character! A masterclass in social media and society at large!
We love Goldie. We have always loved Goldie.
And we loved this opportunity to see her in her awesome truth and splendor.
HUGE Goldie Fan! One of the best interviews I've seen....Bravo Conan & Crew!
My favorite Goldie Hawn film: Butterflies Are Free. She is excellent in it, and I love the dialog between the characters
Wow, did not expect that. I'm gutted what she went through and how her trust was abused.
Seems she found inner strength in those moments
I've always adored Goldie but listening to her be so open and vulnerable is just as breathtaking, if not more so than her beauty.
Goldie is such a great story teller. I never knew!
I've loved Goldie Hawn from the first show at Laugh in, her stories are incredibly amazing, horrifying, captivating I didn't want it to end, and wanted to hear more of Goldie's stories! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for giving her so much time to speak on her memories. I’m incredibly grateful for the longer video ❤
Very good. 👏👏👏I didn't even realize this was 30 mins long
She’s a lovely example of learning, growing, standing UP for herself - respecting herself. Hero. Love.
there isnt a single girl i've met in my life who hasn't been sexually abused. its just appalling how many creeps are out there.
Thank you for uploading the whole story. Shows how valuable and important it is, even admin knows it.
Great interview. Big fan of Goldie for her intelligence, honesty, strength, integrity and huge heart. Much respect. And appreciation.
AMAZING EPISODE! I love listening to Goldie, she’s a legend fr
Love from Boston!
This was one of my most favourite episodes ever. I wouldn’t have expected it.
I could listen to her telling the stories for HOURS !!!! A+ Goldie
I have always loved Goldie Hawn since I was a child watching her on Laugh In.
I have so much respect for her. She's an amazing woman.
Thank you, Team Coco, for a beautiful opportunity ... to get to know the real Goldie Hawn.
Conan, you give your guests time to breath, to tell their stories, and the right environment to do so.
I'm glad they uploaded the whole story section. I was enthralled
Happy 61st Birthday Conan! Continue being you and may you have as many more birthdays to come, we love you!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This episode must win Emmy ... best
Goldie you are brave person ❤
She’s no nonsense. I remember I was in high school I was watching an interview 20/20? and Goldie and interviewer were standing on a beach. She said her dad told her, if you ever get too big for your britches, you should take a look out there and see how small we all are.
Yep.... I remember that interview, such great advice:)
Thank you for giving her the space and not interrupting her so that she could tell her whole story. Great interview!
I recently subscribed to Kate Hudson b/c she just released a song about her relationship with her son and now I find Goldie in my timeline talking about the importance of being with family. I love this family. Such incredible women!
thank youu for the longer clip from the episode!!!
My heart breaks and swells for this glorious 👑.
❤.
Thanks for interesting and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
Good Morning World was the first time I saw Goldie Hawn, so yes, its the show I think about when I think of her!
Incredible interview with Goldie Hawn. Thank you!
I adore Goldie Hawn! My heart breaks for what she has been through! And how the same things have been inflicted on to other girls. I pray this video will be seen by innocent girls and guys and help them to be strong like Goldie. Goldie is an amazing talent! God bless her for bringing us funny, heart wrenching and TRUE entertainment!!
I don't doubt a single word Goldie speaks here. She was probably inundated with salaciousness and duplicity for 2 decades because of how beautiful and portrayed as a blonde airhead she was.
Talent doesn't need to take the easy way onto the stage. I can't even picture this Lady on the casting couch...
She's a treasure because of who she is.
Edit this out: Please, no more face work.
I have always loved Goldie. My favorite movie that she starred inis Oerboard. She and Curt were both so good in that. It had everything , humor, romance, suspence and no one could have played the part better than Goldie. I guess she showed those creeps that tried at her, some young females have the ambition to fulfill their dreams and do it without lowering themselves with nasty men. She told her story in such an honest and fascinating way, and I too appreciate Conan not interupting her. Great job, all of you. I am so proud of Goldies strength and integrity at such a young age.
Got to love Goldie! When I was little, we watched “Seems Like Old Times” a million times - they just don’t make ‘’em like that anymore - movies or Goldie
Jesus, this business is so digusting sometimes. She`s a trooper to have stood up to all this at 19 years old. Good values are irreplaceable, good thing she had them.
Love her, always loved her. She's a legend. Imagine a nineteen year old today, experiencing what she did.
Her business savvy is inspiring. Bang!
❤one of the best podcasts I heard. Amazing stories amazing story telling.
This is gold!! I could listen to Goldie all day. Thank you Conan!!
I remember "Good Morning World"... vaguely. Good energy & fresh writing though at 14, I only sensed all that. Goldie was part of it!🎉
Thank you, Conan, for this podcast. Great fan of Goldie Hawn, a treu talent, beautiful human being. Her values resound with wisdom. Her success is a result of hard work and commitment. Sending best wishes from Malta!❤
This was an amazing episode!!!
Thank you Goldie for sharing your story with us! ❤❤❤
Goldi,is gold〰️ She stands out like a sore finger absolutely gorgeous 👍🏻🧿
What a great interview. Good for her. ❤
This is a great hang out session. Love Goldie!!! I bet shes really good people
What a wonderful account and interview. Well done for sharing.
Conan O'Brien, you are so marvellous. I love the way you interview people and always have. I love your travel videos and now your podcast. Even though you were and are one of the best nighttime talk show hosts ever on TV, your spinoff creative careers are equally fantastic and your talents are being used tenfold. I had wished one day to be interviewed by you had my career kept climbing but alas, I'm still thrilled to be able to see you doing your thing with stellar results.
I always liked Goldie 💕. I’m glad you’re talking about your past experiences. So many to be told!
Truly a brave and badass woman.
Thank you for this one!
Many thanks to Conan, crew and Goldie! 🤩
For all the amazing footage you can find from the 1964 World's Fair, now I'm aching to see Goldie doing a Can-Can on the roof of the Texas pavilion. Anybody out there got it? In the meantime I'll keep enjoying her wonderful stories
Love this format of Conan’s
Really nice unfolding of experiences in a
Quiet neutral environment
The vibrator story hilarious
Thanks for sharing your stories and faith, Goldie!!!
They need to make a Goldie Hawn movie.
Big fan of Goldie Hawn, and the fact that she became her own producer, worked for herself, answered to no one, that is how she made it on her own, in her own way, no casting couch with some greasy man that controls what you want and will use you. I say way to go Goldie, you made it big and you did it with ethics and integrity. Also raised two wonderful children, and made a great decision when choosing Kurt to be the one man to trust. And the rest is history.
Man... I love this 👍 real life talk with a friends ❤
I love you, Goldie. You're the best.
And I love Goldie Hawn and her entire career. Hearing her share her life is captivating.
This is absolutely riveting.
always knew she is a great actor...who knew she's a great storyteller? I'm impressed
Absolutely great segment.
Hearing Goldie's sexual assault story at the hands of Little Abner creator Al Capp was appalling to say the least. Thank God for MeToo. Women should not have to go through that.
Thank you for this clip. I'm an actor in the city and this life is not for the weak 😭
This is one of Conan’s best interviews
Hey, cool - uploading larger chunks of the episodes - I like that trend, especially here with Goldie - but I also like it in general
My best takeaway from our beautiful Goldie Gift is to laugh big! I am getting it❣️ it’s a beautiful thing just flow with it! My mom married a PR. Only Lucy and Ricky back then. Mom looked like Goldie and I think she lost herself in that but it was fun.
I love her even more ❤ Wow what a life she's lived!
Goldie's Dance Instructor was a well-known Porksmith by the name of Phil McRevice. He's a legend!
That was one of the most riveting, terrifying stories I have heard. I’m glad she shared it though. You hear things like this happen but itnhits different when you learn how it happens. This breaks my heart.
what an amazing and inspiring woman
I always loved Goldie but now I love her even more. Amazing woman!
