Its so weird, cuz I actually went through a nihilistic stage like you described, but in the ‘recovery’ phase, i just got more connected to religion, which i had never known before my ideological breakdown. Now when i think back, the most meaningless part of my journey has been that nihilistic state.🤔
I still embrace nilhilism. But in balance between optimistic and pessimistic
I went through them all and gave the meaning that moksha is what I want. Non dualism is what is way out for me. Not because I believe in it but because I experienced what it said.
After listening to all the ism philosophies from this channel, I realized Sanatan is really vast. All these things have been discussed in their literature. They embraced all the debates open heartedly and inscribed wherever they can. They provided an area of improvement for all thoughts. They gave the same weightage to Dvaita, Advaita, Vishisht Advaita along with Charvaka. All these developments happened due to the freedom they got which no one gets in Abrahamic religion. The ultimate goal set in sanatana is Moksh, the salvation which is a bigger version of Freedom.

I have been a depressed individual as far as I can remember, recently when things got unbearable i took help of therapy and psychiatrist, I got diagnosed with MDD major depression disorder. I started SSRIs and things got better.
I wonder if nihilism is creation of a depressed mind or nihilism leads to depression.
In my case I was depressed far longer than I had nihilistic thoughts.
I also agree about behaviour, i burnt alot of my social capital in nihilistic thoughts.
If this comes to your mind then believe me nothing can be worse than this because no matter how much trouble you face in life, but there is a sweet faith in a lie that God will make everything alright.
