  • In this video I take a look at reducing the extraordinary amount of time it usually takes to clean a car to my standard.
    I usually leave it for weeks before needing to go through the whole process which takes hours and by cutting out a few stages , I wanted to see if I would still be happy with the results.
    Autoglanz are the choice of todays products , a family run business manufacturing & distributing their own vast range of chemicals, I selected only 4 to do a maintenance wash on our MGZS.

    Big fan of Piste and Smooth Velvet, SV smells incredible, such an addictive scent. Can't go wrong with any AG products.

      It’s been a while since using these, I had the original smooth velvet which was more like a spray wax and quite streaky but the latest version is so much easier to use , also love the pure shampoo 👍

    Great video Graeme always enjoy your commentary. Plus always honest reviews and great tips. Good stuff buddy. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on quick methods of LSP as for me I don’t have the time to apply certain forms of LSP.

      Thanks Darren, much appreciated!!, quick methods of LSP are great, so many to choose from now, spray and rinse. Ceramic foams, shampoos & even just the QD as a drying aid helps too!!
      I’ve yet to try a ceramic snowfoam but they do look great.

    Right that’s it you’ve inspired me to get off my arse this Sunday morning and do a quick wash now..
    That thumbnail was so eye catching I’ve never clicked a video so fast 😉
    To add to the great snowfoam debate, if the protection is that good did the foam really do anything or has it just become a habit, would the rinse alone have pretty much done the same job and made it safe enough to get on with the contact wash anyway. 🤔
    Food for thought on your flight to the Bahamas ✈️

      Thanks Paul!, saves faffing about just dipping the pick up tube in the rinse bucket , it’s all these wee things that eventually make it a full day to clean the car , less detail about it but still a safe wash and onto family time 😀

    One thought this video has left me with is there any need for expensive drying towels when your using a QD as a drying aid as you got great results with a relatively cheap easily available towel. Definitely got me thinking 🤔

    • @GMDetails
      @GMDetails  2 роки тому

      IF you’re going to use a drying aid every time then no, the industry has us believing we need this that and the next thing for the whole ‘safest wash possible’ I sometimes wonder if we’re just pawns in all of it 🫣

    • @decker0373
      @decker0373 2 роки тому

      Drying towels are worthwhile for sure but not at the price some ask for. Personally I have one that came in a kit from shiny car (Amazon) which is thick and I also use a £3 drying towel from The Range which works. I'll not spend £15 upwards.
