ah yeah, look forward to your uploads. very nice as always! thanks for sharing. I am seeing Luca Sestak on October 20th in SF at the boogie Woogie festival. woohoo
Nicely done. Not a slavish copy. It was a good decision not to do everything that Luca did that day, some of which was arguably not hugely necessary. This tempts me to check out the rest of your recordings.
I have a question. When learning these pieces, particularly Lucas, do you learn them note by note by reading the sheet music? Because for me that just takes a while because of the Solo's. Or are you able to do it out of hearing? Also, how long did this pief take you? Thanks man, you're an inspiration to me.
Well done! Just one comment: your left hand broken octaves have a too predominant 5th finger, which takes a lot of the swing away from the composition. This happens on grand pianos and electronic keyboards sampled on grand pianos. Even the great Sestak incurs into this problem when he plays this piece on a grand. Try to give less weight on the fifth finger and a bit more on the thumb of your left hand. if you play on a vertical, how you are doing now is perfect!
I've heard Luca's rendition dozens of times and yours is remarkably close. I'm sure it would sound even better on a grand piano. Great job!
Wow! well done Clark, this is one of my favourites too, your hard work paid off here.
WOW unreal

is this because of the weighted keys ?
