Custom shop pickups are a great upgrade to the Vintera, not to mention you can never go wrong with a 4 way switch, I have that mod on all 4 of my Tele’s. Cheers Kris.
My sound preference of the three is the vintera! Great video as usual !
American Professional II is the more genuine and clear to me
2 Teles that blew my mind are the Jason Isbell Tele and the 60s Vintera with Bigsby (which I sold and instantly regret it). Maybe I had some luck with getting really good instruments, but I have to say: There is no big difference in terms of quality in comparison to my CS Strat. Specially the Isbell Tele is my "go to" guitar. I bought it right when it was released for around 1300 euros.
It might not just be luck, I think I remember Rhett Shull choosing that Jason Isbell Tele as his mid-price pick too.

I'm kinda shocked. I thought the Maybach would be the cheapest; it certainly sounds like it.
American Professional II is my choice. A little clearer to my ears. I wouldn't kick any of them out of bed mind you.....
I love telecasters! They are so versatile!! I have three!
I am really into the Vintera range, I have the 60s Roadworn Strat in firemist gold and love it and I am thinking of getting a Vintera tele as well...so good for the money!

i just bought a 2019 Vintera 60s Tele modified in Lake Placid blue .near mint and great value . Amazing guitars you wont regret buying one bro
I'm biased but i like the Vintera .I've got the 60s modified version tho ,i love the aesthetic of a headstock without a truss rod hole better colours too imo

Great video. Thank you. For me, I wonder where the American Vintage II from Fender would sit in this comparison. Actually, I cannot decide between a Pro II against the AV II. It is a hard one. Do you have any thoughts on this?
Intera yes but I don't know if the Pro II would be classed as mid range in Fenders catalog.
All great guitars and the Vintera stuff is great. I have the 60s strat and it's brilliant. MIM is good stuff and I can't understand the "must be american" snobbery. Shoukd stress I have custom shop stuff to compare it too as well as other more expensive brands. Fe der are pushing out great stuff from Mexico, especially some of the artist models. The Hendrix strat for example.
For real.. the difference is, feel, play and look..
I appreciate Maybach, but the vintera sounds the most telly-ish to my ears or brain, whatever.

The vintera bridge pickup sounded better imo
From last year's Kris's blind fold challenge, i still prefer a KR53 over a Vintera... Or any other T Style guitar, in the video, for that matter.

Mid-price a Maybach? It's more than 2K€
It's hard to tell what is mid-priced, true. We decided to put these guitars in 3 tiers: 0-600€ affordable; 600-2000€ mid-priced; 2k and above high-end.
That's kinda realistic, since a US standard production Fender is also barely under 2k.

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses True except a Maybach is now 2,5 K for a T61. By the way I own one (T61 red rooster), one of the best Tele I've ever played :)
I'm sorry but how is a 2k American Fender a midpriced guitar? I think the Player series are more in that range. Or even Classic Vibes.
A mid priced guitar is everything above entry level, so around 3-4 hundred and up to custom shop so to around 3-3.5k ish. Not that it matters, there are certainly some some budget guitars that by chance are better than some custom shops. It's all luck of the draw, all you need is have some experience and know what to look for and shop around and some 10-15 years later you end up with a collection of some amazing examples and it does not matter what it says on the headstock, that is if you are looking for guitars to play. If you are more interested in collecting or showing off on social media, just buy a bunch of fenders and gibsons, throw in a few suhrs and prs and a tom anderson or james tyler and call it a day 😂
What's the song Kris played at 1:30? It sounds really familiar but I can't place it...
If it's a song it was unintentional. Haha! I just came up wit that progression because it seemed to showcase the slight differences between the guitars in that pickup position. Cheers //Kris

I find the lack of an ASAT sad.
We did an affordable tele shootout already and there was a G&L in there. Unfortunately we don't have ASATs in stock very often. As soon as a few arrive they get sold pretty fast. Cheers //Kris
