I really appreciate you breaking out the measuring tape. That needs to be a permanent part of your reviews. One thing I'd like to see you add is the type of refrigerator each trailer has. Some are the old fashioned propane/120 volt absorption type, some are the new 12 volt compressor type and in a few instances 120 volt residential refrigerators have been installed. The 12 volt compressor fridges need some serious battery and solar capacity to run, or a generator. 120 volt needs shore power or a generator running most of the day. The propane/120 volt are best suited for dry camping where minimal or no generator power is used.
Hey Alaska Erik, We appreciate the love and support! Breaking out the masuring tape is definitely a permanent part of our reviews now. Thanks for the input with the fridge! You talked about important stuff first and foremost. No BS. No marketing. No irrelevant jokes and details, and personal life story. I have subsed.

we are looking at our first RV after tent camping for decades (in our 60s now). Not a fan of RV parks (too noisy) so we are looking for a towable that can handle national forest roads. Really liked the setup of the Coleman Light 1805RB (especially the recliner sofa) but wonder how it will do off-road. What would you suggest we look at? Appreciate the videos but agree that it would be good to hear about the ac and heater as well (or should we presume they are all equipped with both).@@RVBlogger
We like that one best also. No counterspace, but I think I could use a cutting board over half the sink that would work. Also would like a drawer for silverware, but we could figure something out. Great storage around the bed.

A televator! That is my new favorite word. :D Great descriptions and details, as always. Well done. I think the Gulf Stream Enlighten 20RD is my favorite. The curtain across the bedroom is always a great idea, so someone can be up early/late and not disturb the sleepers.

GOOD STUFF! We have recently purchased a 2022 Gulfstream Vista Cruiser 19ERD and we love it. Took a trip with our 2 teenagers and it was plenty big enough for all of us.
I absolutely love the Venture RV Sonic 150VRB....such a loaded compact camper!!! Extremely light for towing.. I love this camper, Mike and Susan! Now..I have to decide if I like it as much or better than the Forest River E-Pro! Thanks so much for the walkthrough...you two are amazing!

Jayco Jay Flight 24RBS is the best for me but whit the recliners in the Prime Time Tracer 24RKS loll Good job sir whit the video and editing and thumbs up to the cameraman
That Tracer Sonic would be perfect, as there's just me, so I don't need bunks. If grand kids come there's the dining room table to fold out. Like to see more couples travel trailers 2, start a series! You guys do a fantastic job, thank you!
I like the PrimeTime Tracer the best for multiple reasons. Private bedroom with separate entrance for safety reasons. Kitchen area is great. Except where is the receptacle for the coffee pot at the kitchen counter? Like the tv directly across from sofa. Saves you from having neck pain when you get older. The storage is great but one thing I’d change is I’d like to have a nice size drawer for pots and pans. I didn’t see if there was under bed or under dinette storage. If not that would be nice to have too. Otherwise, very nice camper!

We love your videos! Just me, hubby, and 75 lb lab, Molly. She does dictate a little when we were picking out campers, lol. Our first camper was a Gulfstream AmeriLite. We wanted to make sure camping was for my husband, I've always loved camping. We had a problem with the wall mounted air conditioner leaking into the camper. The second time it happened, my husband said, "I'm done, we are getting a new camper." Our next one was a FR Rockwood Mini Lite 2109s and we are in love! We wanted one we could access everything when the slide is in, and it works perfectly. That might be something to mention, whether things can be accessed if the slide is in. If I'm just popping in to grab lunch while on the road, I don't want to have to put the slide out.
I wish we could provide that information but we usually visited dealerships and RV shows and don't have the ability to retract the slides. But you are absolutely right, that is valuable information. Thanks for watching our tour video and commenting.

I liked the Dutchmen the most. Can you two do a video on the best TTs for a solo person, like maybe a girl and her doggie? Perhaps one with room for 2 monitors for working out of, as well as space for a sewing machine? I'd be fine with a twin or full sized bed, but so far I've been hard pressed to find one. Anyhow, I'm obsessed with the videos you two produce; very informative, but trustworthy and funny, too.
Hey Lindsey, Any RV can accomodate a solo traveler, it all depends on the features you want and what your tow vehicle capacity is. @@RVBlogger I already do subscribe and I like it a lot! I really think articles/videos geared towards the single female traveler would be very well recepted, as there are more and more solo travelers going -or wanting to go- but are a little unsure, because there isn't a lot of info out there. It's mainly geared towards couples/families/men, not that there's anything wrong with that, it just means info is lacking in other places and I think you two are the perfect ones to take the lead!
@@lindseylamar8018 Hi Lindsey - I really like this idea and I've added it to my blog post list for a future article and also to our video list for a future video! Thanks for the great suggestion! Mike
Great video showing the walk through! Very interested in the Dutchman Coleman light! We both use CPAPs so room on both sides of the bed are important as well as a roomy bathroom and the slide out with the recliners makes it absolutely perfect!

As a mildly disabled person, I find a vanity close to the commode a handy device to help me stand up if I'm in a place that doesn't have grab bars. Of course, if I were to buy a rv, I'd install bars, but the location of the vanity might help a guest in this bathroom. This configuration is one I hope for when I'm staying in a non-modified hotel room.

We just went looking at campers yesterday. Our favorite was the Colman 1805. Great set up for 2 people. I don't know if I would miss the dinette, but considering we do not want a real long trailer, this is the best option. Now we just need to figure out the type of life we want for the future and if a camper fits into that life.

Thank you! You have given me some very good information. In 2019, we bought a 25 ft, new 2018 for a reasonable price. It's got a couple of things that I would love to improve on like getting an indoor, out door table to replace one that is very unstable, on two posts that come out way too easily. It didn't come with a stove top cover either. I'm having a very hard time finding out where I can find these items. I purchased a whole new shower stall and walls, maybe, 10 years ago for our first trailer. If I can get the items I need, it would certainly help me enjoy this season more and will help us sell it next year as we would like to trim down even more and move into a smaller, more efficient trailer.

Its interesting to see the difference between the "american" layout on rv's compared to euro layout ... and the details when its comes to smaller stuff like soft closing on cabinets and alike. Love your videos , keep up the awsome work.

We just bought a 2018 Coleman light. It’s just the two of us but it’s a bunkhouse which I was kinda looking for just so we have an option to sleep additional people. It’s a murphey bed model which we actually love, it gives us the couch option even though it takes a min to set the bed up it’s nice not walking straight into a bed and having a regular couch option to sit. Compared to the Coleman you showed here I do like how bright that one is ours doesn’t seem quite as bright lol, but ours does have way more counter space, it’s got an l sized counter and like 8 drawers, 2 huge closets etc. one slide out which I was trying to avoid however, it does really make a huge difference in space. I really enjoy the set up for a small travel trailer.
Oh and I noticed it was a struggle to find a small travel trailer with a vertical bed, my reasoning for this was because my boyfriend is just over 6 foot so while finding a full queen in a small travel trailer is next to impossible lol at least if it’s vertical his feet can kinda stick off the bottom as opposed to being jammed between the side walls so that was a plus with the Murphy bed option, especially since if it were just a bed you would really run into it right when you walk in which wouldn’t be ideal. So for those looking for small trailer options for taller people I would recommend looking for a vertical bed, and just accept the fact that tall people won’t fit in most showers lol, ours doesn’t have the skylight over the shower but my boyfriend is fine with it we camp usually at places with facilities so he can shower there but if he really had to he could manage lol.

On that second one the couch makes out into a bed too, and im guessing the dinette does too!? Access to plumbing i guess? What i dont get is why on all the murphy beds just about theres always a window at the head of the bed, then you have the ones with the regular beds and theres no window at the head of the bed?

Thank you so much! This is so informative! I always wonder if the vent above the stoves is actually vented outside? I've never seen it mentioned in videos, but it is very important.

By watching your videos and others I'm figuring out which features I like. Didn't see all the features in one trailer here (and some are mutually exclusive) but I liked all these trailers, each one better than the last :) Favorite features are full width rear bath, front or rear kitchen as opposed to side, dinettes, theater seating, no slides, 3000 lb UVW max. I think the manufacturers are making great strides in design but I am becoming more and more concerned about build quality and durability. What advice do you have for me?

Thanks for all the info. Wife and I have been motorcycle camping for 33 yrs, first in a tent, then in a small pop up camper with a small queen bed BUT we are looking to get a small RV that we could pull with a small convertible. I boondock and dry camp a lot, so fresh and waste water capacity is important to me. The Jayco 24RBS has a 76 gallon fresh water tank, which is more than adequate, but the gray tank is way too small. The Prime Time 24RKS has a very nice layout and a very generous gray and black tank capacity, but only 42 gallons of fresh water. In this size category I really like the Cougar 24SABWE. It has an RV king bed that is 70 inches wide and 80 inches long. Water capacity is 60 gallons, gray is 76 gallons and black is 38 gallons. It's also 0°/100° rated, so it's winter rated for a large part of the country. It has the same Jack and Jill bathroom setup as the Prime Time, which separates owners from guests when it comes to using the bathroom at night. So far, I consider the Cougar to be the best couple's trailer in the 24 foot category.
Hi Alaska Eric, Did you own a KZ Trailer at one point? Thanks for the great tips on these trailers. We will keep an eye out for the Cougar 24SABWE! Thanks! Mike and Susan

So on the Clipper apparently your TV goes outside, not even protected by an awning. It is, however, a clever design esp for short people. Everything has to be “for couples”, not a word about singles.

I bought the Sonic 150 I love it all but the poorly designed Murphy bed .if you look at it the end of it bed towards the living space has no legs to support the last6 inches of the bed Wich is held on by a piano hinge if you try to get in bed from the end or sit on it the bed will brake.i had to make a set of legs to put at the end of the bed but. The rest of the trailer is great.

The table come both ways I've seen it made out the same stuff as the counter and I've seen it of particle board covered with plastic material. I think it might be a up charge. Their is how ever one thing you should know there is no place to put the table when not in use .it is always in the way. I love the last one. We never towed before. Not sure how we’d do with the larger one at the end. We have a Mazda RX9 . We need we to find out what we are able to tow with our SUV. Do we go to the dealer and ask about towing?
Hey Nancy, Great choice!! First it's a good idea to look at your vehicle's Max Tow Weight, and remember to stay below 80% of that number :) Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤ Mike and Susan
Some of the newer model campers do come with solar prep, lithium ion battery and some even with a solar panel. But to truly be able to be solar powered you would need many more panels and batteries. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Curious why you would not list the Rove Lite? New in 2021. We just purchased a 22 model FD. 14 ft, and less than 1700 pounds dry. Can be towed by any vehicle that can tow 2,000. Solid, no wood in the shell and one piece front, roof to rear. Comes standard with several great options including a power awning! Wet bath, 2 burner stove and small fridge and sink. No microwave- which we don’t use anyways! We use our ninja foodi for most cooking and reheating! Check it out!

Thank you for making this video. Funny I walked into a dealer for our first camper. I said. No tents, no slideouts, needs to be towed by a minivan (Sub 3800lb ) what do you have for us? Walked out with a 2022 KZ Sportsmen Classic 170MB. Every one of these videos shows us we accidentally bought the best camper for us with the perfect list of amenities and features. It is funny how I see a lot of the EXACT same things in all these models. Same doors, lights, radio, The only difference seems to be the layout. Which FOR US I think we got it perfect. If you figured out that the furrion radio installed in a lot of these campers is mono and underpowered. let me know I found a exact fit replacement for $100 that takes care of this and makes a better radio. I also upgraded the toilet and added a bidet on the toilet that "absolutely does not accept a bidet" Nonsense. It took me 10 minutes to figure it out Here is my breakdown on this great video 1. Coachmen Clipper Express 12.0 TDXL Too small and violates my personal No tents policy. Not being able to stand in it (I am a 5 foot 4 inch tall man) is a pass. I also want a table with a window to sit and have meals. 2. Gulf Stream Enlighten 20RD Nice a lot of upgrades over what we got but ultimately 1000 lbs too heavy. Violates my no slideouts rule too. 3. Dutchmen Coleman Light 1805RB Too heavy for us to tow. We dont need that much space. It is very nice however. 4. This one is close to ours. VERY close. This kind is what we like. Here are the things I dont like about this one over our KZ sportsman 170MB a. trifold mattress.. nope.. I dont want to feel seams. I put a 4 inch memory foam on top of our short queen ($100) it fixed the hardness for us. b. our has a dining table (superior design) c. entrance doesnt throw you into the bed if you have it down. d. The sides of the bed has two "shelves" on each side. Yeah dont like this one. If you think this might be close.. check out the sportsman 170mb layout. Much more efficient. The last two arent small campers. Small campers to me means I can safely tow with (What I have now) a minivan or a SUV.
Wow John! Thanks for all this great information! So glad you found a camper that fits your needs and you could customize a little! Safe travels. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@RVBlogger KZ screwed it up for 2023. They removed the bathroom sink and the medicine cabinet above it. Price is the same. They will probably say "Now there is more room for the toilet" nah.. they cut 200 in costs. Same price. 2022 was perfection. Glad my wife said "Buy this now"

Prime Time camper gets my vote. Also, IMO size is perfect for two, but all of these units need to DITCH the dinette. What a waste of space it is in such a small unit and instead install comfortable recliners with TV straight ahead. That’s what this couple needs. 😉

We're just the opposite, we'll take the dinette every time. A place to sit and eat out of the bugs, play games, just sit and chat. We're just campers and not full timers, maybe if we were our preferences would change. Really like that Gulfstream 20RD.
Don't feel bad. You are not alone. Statistics show that over 80% of RV buyers choose the wrong RV the first time around and within 2 years they are buying the right RV. This is a big reason we do what we do. To help educate people so they don't buy the wrong RV the first time. Hopefully you can trade up to a better RV for you! Thanks for watching! Mike

Hey Alaska Erik,
We appreciate the love and support! Breaking out the masuring tape is definitely a permanent part of our reviews now. Thanks for the input with the fridge!

Is it possible to advise the measurements in metric as well?
the venture rv is way to expensive
You are the single most useful and professional RV channel I have seen. You provided actual measurements of space and amenities info in a concise manner with prices upfront.

I like the Coleman lite. It has room to put a twin air mattress in front of the sofa and it wouldn't block the bathroom. And the bathroom is great.

I don't get that either. Why put a window behind a Murphy bed that you can only see when the bed is down at night? The world may never know...

I love the last one. We never towed before. Not sure how we’d do with the larger one at the end. We have a Mazda RX9 . We need we to find out what we are able to tow with our SUV. Do we go to the dealer and ask about towing?
The CX-9 has a towing limit of 3500lbs, less than half what this weighs. You'd need a full size pickup.

Do any of them have solar panels for extra power capabilities
Some of the newer model campers do come with solar prep, lithium ion battery and some even with a solar panel. But to truly be able to be solar powered you would need many more panels and batteries. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
At what point does a “small queen” become an actual full size bed?, lol
Alway enjoy the walkthroughs!!
It’s a queen if it remains 60” wide…80” makes it a full-size queen. Shorter is a short queen. Narrower changes it to a full bed
Thanks Yendi!

It took me 10 minutes to figure it out
Here is my breakdown on this great video
1. Coachmen Clipper Express 12.0 TDXL
Too small and violates my personal No tents policy. Not being able to stand in it (I am a 5 foot 4 inch tall man) is a pass. I also want a table with a window to sit and have meals.
2. Gulf Stream Enlighten 20RD
Nice a lot of upgrades over what we got but ultimately 1000 lbs too heavy. Violates my no slideouts rule too.
3. Dutchmen Coleman Light 1805RB
Too heavy for us to tow. We dont need that much space. It is very nice however.
4. This one is close to ours. VERY close. This kind is what we like.
Here are the things I dont like about this one over our KZ sportsman 170MB
a. trifold mattress.. nope.. I dont want to feel seams. I put a 4 inch memory foam on top of our short queen ($100) it fixed the hardness for us.
b. our has a dining table (superior design)
c. entrance doesnt throw you into the bed if you have it down.

We're just the opposite, we'll take the dinette every time. A place to sit and eat out of the bugs, play games, just sit and chat. We're just campers and not full timers, maybe if we were our preferences would change. Really like that Gulfstream 20RD.
Yep I am kicking myself for not waiting to buy my Rv. The Sonic would have been perfect for me. I hate the RV that I have now. No storage what so ever
Don't feel bad. You are not alone. Statistics show that over 80% of RV buyers choose the wrong RV the first time around and within 2 years they are buying the right RV. This is a big reason we do what we do. To help educate people so they don't buy the wrong RV the first time.
