Hey guys, you should think about selling merchandise. Other u-tubers make a killing selling t-shirts and other things. And sell smoked fish too or even dried halibut with huligan Greece. So good! Awesome catch and take care not to hurt yourselves. Your body only takes so much before it kicks back. Cheers!
Wow that was a very nice load of cod. All the while the boat is sloshing around on the water. I'd be falling on my butt!! Can't wait for your next great video.🌴🐟

Great fishing skipper and son. reminds me of the good old days in England south east coast 90 to 100 stone plus off cod. In gill nets low water set. Bit different now no cod at all just a few small ones. Water is to warm these days. All gone north the cod Made me smile alot great fishing well, deserved. Bit off a roley day but I think it helps your lures a lot. But hard work. Well done 👍
Nice, Greg! It's sad when times change, one can only hope bounties of cod return someday. Sometimes I worry about the state of the world, but being a humble fishermen you can only adapt as seasons come and go. Be well.

Thanks Jack! Somedays you are just rolling around all day long. When they rolls aren't sharp its nice, but get some current against chop or swell it gets annoying fast, lol.
Some very nice numbers while pulling your lines back in . The machines straining , under the weight , was definitely a nice problem to have . Enjoyed watching you do well . Stay safe .
We always look forward to this family crew of incredible friends! Thank you and may the Lord bless you all immensely this fishing season! We are enjoying our fish we got from you and will plan for more!
I’m onboard with Patron, would love to support you guys with a share box but having a vegetarian wife and daughter it’s a lot more fish than I can deal with, and I’m also a commercial fisherman. I don’t bring much home to eat!!!

See you bleed them but I guess your market doesn't require them gutted maybe. Pretty good machines they seem to be too how many have you working, cheers good fishing. Billy
They are indeed. We call them Kachemaks here in Alaska, they are rebranded and sold by somebody. We run 1/4 hp Scotty motors, they aren't the best but they get the work done.

We'd love to if not for copyright. I guess we just enjoy the sounds of fishing for the most part. Get away from technology for a couple days. We used to have waterproof speakers when we had a shelter deck, long ago.
They keep tension on the setup, helps stretch the hooks out. Its a line that goes through the pully on the other side of the boat with a weight attached.
We steer with our autopilot, it's a Simrad with a knob it has both an autopilot option and a follow-up option that you control the angle of your rudder with. The unit is connected to a pump that pushes ATF through copper tubes to our steering ram which has a rudder indicator on it. We also have a jog stick for hauling gear on deck. Hope that answers your question.

Yes! It's like once you pop you can't stop, lol.
Absolutely incredible haul! Backbreaking work! I bet you guys go through ibuprofen by the truckload. Has anyone ever fallen overboard?
Thanks Lou! It gets exhausting toward the end of the day, definitely a good feeling though. Thankfully nobody has fallen overboard, knock on wood.
Good Job
Hi guys, great videos I wish I got Cod like that here in Northumberland UK, just wondered why you don't gut the Cod like the Halibut ? How the heck many are down there? How do they have room to swim? Wow!!!
U guys knows what ur doing
Are you using Bandit Reels from Waterman Industries? If so, which HP electric motor did you choose to run them. Thanks Bill
They are indeed. We call them Kachemaks here in Alaska, they are rebranded and sold by somebody. We run 1/4 hp Scotty motors, they aren't the best but they get the work done.

That is a really nice cod @ 13:44 how much meat comes off a fish that large? I could only imagine cooking that for dinner!
Two nice fillets one either side of the back bone.
@@iansmartel5473 Yes, from a fish that large they must be nice fillets.
Yea some of them were some beastly cod, nice thick loins. Tail pieces generally are thinner, good for sandwiches and frying.
Hi Guy love the videos no cod fishing in Irish sea long time gone do you not have to gut the catch ?
We currently don't gut our catch since we have it custom processed into fillets so soon after. We might work that in eventually.
Go to church after this day
Cool vid.
How deep are you for the cod?
Thanks!
Probably in the 40's during this video, late winter.
Tape a log or something to that chair as an arm rest..haha

Presumably with the stabilisers out the fuel consumption goes up?
They do slow us down, yes, usually around 3/4-1 knot.

Welcome! It's to bleed the fish out, drains the blood and keeps the fillets nice and white!
Vacation,,gone fishing 🎣
What would be great if you could explain what kind of sea bed conditions go with catching what kind of fish etc.
True, I'll remember that next time.

should anchor on fish drift will last longer line will work better

Pescaria top demais parabéns
I would like to know.
How much do you make on a haul like that.
You do this for profit right
Killed them this day boys. Nice fat fish and nearly every dropper was full. You would have slept well 😪😪
Any thoughts on paying a bit of music in the background as you guys work on the boat?
We'd love to if not for copyright. I guess we just enjoy the sounds of fishing for the most part. Get away from technology for a couple days. We used to have waterproof speakers when we had a shelter deck, long ago.
For just having 1 day it looks like you tore the cod up. Just curious, did you fill your holds?
It was a great haul, didn't fill the holds. We can pack around 16k fully stuffed.
Why are there lines that cross the deck some days and others not?
They keep tension on the setup, helps stretch the hooks out. Its a line that goes through the pully on the other side of the boat with a weight attached.
How deep was your jigging water. Thanks...Capt Pete
It was around 20-25 fathoms (120-150ft).
@@EISAlaskaThanks. That's about the same depth off Port Angeles, WA when we had tremendous cod fishing before it was wiped out about 20 years ago.
I'm curious how you steer your boat
We steer with our autopilot, it's a Simrad with a knob it has both an autopilot option and a follow-up option that you control the angle of your rudder with. The unit is connected to a pump that pushes ATF through copper tubes to our steering ram which has a rudder indicator on it. We also have a jog stick for hauling gear on deck. Hope that answers your question.
I notice that you don’t measure the cod as you bring it on the boat, nor any time after, there must not be a size or weight limit?
Nope, no size limit on cod.
Do you have a 'head' on the Fish Tale ? Or the new boat ?
Yep. Both vessels have a head. The big boat also has a shower which is really nice.
How do you steer the boat? I don't see a wheel.
Stick an oar over the stern push for what way you need to go.
Drifting, with no boat pressure

Walk through the lines across the deck. If it was real easy you would be up to your necks in boats.
