4. Finally, from a small village in East Africa I came to the US in 1966 as an exchange student. Never Left.
The trajectory of your personal and professional life parallel some aspects of my own life.

Hans has forgotten more than most new guys know! The most value of his advice is not provided by how smart he may be, which is tons, but in how old he is …which means how much he has experienced and seen. That combination is lethal ! Much respect to Hans.

Congrats Hans on your UA-cam success. I'm 64 and about to retire. I've always saved but never spent time learning about retirement, minimizing taxes and learning about retirement related concerns such as Social Security taxes. I have learned a lot from your videos. I told my wife the other day, I had a breakthrough last night, Hans explained Roth Conversions and now understand the benefits.
John, Great story and career of which you should be proud. As a retired CPA, one of the core values of a CPA is independence. If one is to attest to financial statement or provide financial advice on a variety of products, being independent is what is paramount in selecting an advisor. I really get a lot out of your videos and the annuity part of the plans is intriguing. I am very confused by bonds in a portfolio . Do you have any videos on bonds and can you replace bonds with annuities and would that make sense? Thanks
Considering your experience with medicare I'm surprised you didn't build in the impact of medicare part premium. I found my premium going up from 170 to 600 Because I sold my primary residence and I had high income even after taking the $250k. That is $4k impact this coming year ouch!
