    This looks and sounds good, we eat a lot more fish now. Have picked up some paneer to try for the first time, the fenugreek is a flavour we havent tried, so will be on the look out for that. Thankyou Chetna.

I can't wait until June as I have ordered your new book it will make meal times less stressful for me as I can never think what to cook that will be a pleasure to eat. :-) xx

    I made this tonight with salmon. I marinated the salmon for 1 hour with turmeric, salt, chili powder and olive oil for one hour before I seared it for 2 minutes on each side. It was perfect!!!! Thank you!

    Hello from Canada Chetna.
    I just found your channel last week, have already made a Biryani. It was so good.
    I am allergic to garlic so going to an Indian restaurant is not happening. So I make my own. (I know, garlic, allergy. What the heck???)
    I am always on the lookout for new recipes and methods, I am really enjoying your channel.
    Looks like I might be making some curried Snapper in the next week.

    Hi Chetna, I want to make your fish curry but just wanted to ask about the amount of dry spices. You stated a teaspoon of each of the dry spices but the quantity on your plate each looked like a tablespoon. Please could you clarify as I don’t want to get it wrong. Thank you ☺️ xx

    Hi Chetna, can I cook the fish with only a few tablespoons of oil instead of shallow frying it with a lot of oil? Or will this change the texture?

    • @FoodwithChetna
      @FoodwithChetna  4 роки тому

      Yes you can shallow fry and use little oil if you like.

    Just made this delicious recipe! Unfortunately, I'd already purchased dried curry leaves, so used those. Shall have to use fresh next time. Also used cod and let it poach in the sauce, covered, for a bit longer. The sauce would work with a variety of fish or shrimp.

    Love you, Chetan, but you might want to consider that we are fishing out the oceans. Species are at the edge of extinction, including tuna. I know, the news isn't covering all of this. But I was able to put two and two together just based on what I have learned, then looked it up myself. Even though part of me didn't want to know. And fish farming isn't good for the environment. So I've reluctantly stopped eating fish.

    • @OjaysReel
      @OjaysReel 4 роки тому

      Sustainable fishing is a reality. But to each their own; wouldn't fancy imposing my view, however backed by science, on anyone.
