Thanks so much for the super kind words. I am going to step up my game on safety. It’s the right thing to do. Ha! I’m even going to start wearing gloves. Ty again, have a great week
@@mamabearandpapabear4689 I agree, I need to improve my safety game. I’m really enjoying my project and UA-cam. Nothing better than making new friends like you guys. I appreciate you support and wonderful comments. You guys have a great weekend.
@@TrixedOut thanks, it’s coming together. Those rear sections were pretty bad. It was a lot of work and learning but now I’m happy it’s all back together and solid. Thanks again Trixed Out for your support.👍🤓
Thanks Backyard, I’m not a show builder but want to end up with a solid good looking bug. I have made many mods to this body and have a few more planned. Thank for watching and please come back for more. Ty Have a great weekend.
Chris I use a cheap harbor freight 2000 lb electric winch. Before I had that I would jack up the front. Stabilize it then the back. I would keep going front to back till I had it high enough. I really like the winch though. It is a lot safer and I use the lift and I still support the front and back with other things. You’ll figure it out just be safe. 👍
GL pops, but you make more work for yourself by slicing it into 10 tiny pieces instead of taking the entire big donor piece and getting it done all at once @31:30 if you're gonna go at it with hammer and chisel anyway, you can use a power oscillating tool to get under it and it flies right off
@@mrlithium69 agree totally. I’m learning the hard way. I like the comments cause it helps as I go along. Sometimes I notice after the fact. Thanks for pointing it out. 👍 I do need to get an oscillating tool with chisels. Great point.
Hello Bud, check out a few of my early videos. I used to build rideable train cars. And do a little art work. Restoring these rust buckets is kinda new to me.
You have amazing Metalwork skills. There’s no doubt about that. I just worry about hand injuries. I play piano, Organ, guitar, and bass. would it be safer with gloves? Or do you feel you just have a better touch barehanded?
Hello Bob, thank you very much for a great question. I like thin leather gloves. Where the problem comes in is making videos. I need to keep touching the camera. Which is a pain putting gloves on and off. It is something that’s be bothering me also. I am going to try cutting one finger tip out of a glove. I think that may be the answer. Bob thanks for your support. I wish I could play instruments. Ty have a great week.
Nice work. Thank you, for the kind words. Nice to see you wearing your safety gear.
I hope to keep it up. 👍 Thanks buddy

Looking good. Just about ready to start working on mine. I need to figure out how to get the body off and on a dolly. I don't have a lot of space.
