Thank you. As always, I enjoy your videos. Real, authentic and down to earth : ) I must admit I haven’t read any of these books. I do have, The Encyclopaedia of Fairies as I was influenced by other UA-camrs at the time this book went a bit viral. I still want to read it, so (like yourself) I can make my own judgement 🧚♂ Having watched your UA-cam content for a long time now, I think there are two non-fiction books you may be interested in, the first is, The Place of Tides by James Rebanks and the second is, Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. They were both excellent. I’m currently finishing (two chapters left) the 2024 Booker Prize winner, Orbital, by Samantha Harvey. It has made me 1) love our planet Earth more, 2) want to find out ways that I can help to protect and nurture our planet and 3) it made me question why would we (as a human race) want to live in space. Also, I just wanted to say, I think your role modelling and love of reading has rubbed off onto your son. It’s wonderful to see : ) Look forward to your next vlog. Happy reading 📚☕
Few things to say! Firstly, loved it, of course 🥰 You did still get personal growth from the last book because your feelings about play and joy came from that experience 🥰 I think that if you want to try fantasy again, I'd definitely go for literary fantasy rather than cosy fantasy as there is great writing, relationships, character development etc as you'd find in lit fic. I really really want you to read Bridge Of Clay by Markus Zusak. I'm sure I've seen it on your shelves before and it was my book of the year 2023. So beautiful 🥰 xx
Really enjoyed this vlog you should do more like this and yes reading when it’s raining is so nice …. I put The encyclopedia of fairies on my tbr …. Love !!! That sunset 🥰💛 sometimes it just nice to read for enjoyment and enjoy it and give your brain a rest from the serious reading 📚💞📚
I really enjoyed this, Natalie. I appreciated your thoughts on Emily Wilde. I’m not a huge fantasy person either, but I still do want to give it a go sometime. ❤❤
I am currently considering a “lay on the couch all day” day. No rain but heavy duty winds. Very cozy couch weather. Ironically, a couple people were shocked that I said Emily Wilde was cozy because they saw it as dark. Funny. Love that cover on yours.
Firstly, I am loooooving these new videos. Secondly… I have never heard of The White Lady by Jacqueline Winspear, did I recommend it? Hahaha. I’m so puzzled. That’s a mystery to me now. Thirdly, that sushi looked amazing.
I wondered about that! It sure didn’t sound like a Simon book and definitely not a Natalie book. I wonder if it was The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins? Just a thought. 😊
I do hate when a book takes a bad turn, that's how I felt about French Exit by Patrick deWitt, enjoyed it so much until the turn, but I did finish it. Oh well, every book does not have to be for everyone. Yes, it looks beautiful after the rain. I have a filtered faucet next to the regular kitchen faucet, it just makes the tap water taste better, we have hard water but I do not like the taste of water softener water (nor dragging big bags of water softener salt).

Now after your review of the fairy book maybe it’s not for me 😂 either but I like your honest reviews 📚🧡📚

I consider reading books like the Emily Wilde my version of watching tv sitcoms. Good luck with growing your online retail shop!

I so love your vlog videos, Natalie! You live in a beautiful place. ❤
Some interesting books you have there.
