The photo of the old gentleman and woman is a soldier who fought at Waterloo. His medal is the Waterloo medal awarded to soldiers who fought in that battle. What sights he must have seen don't bear thinking about.
It's absolutely amazing what technology and talent can achieve. Equally amazing is the thought that a couple of years from now, all of these are going to look comically clunky.
The first couple made me emotional. What had he seen, what had he endured... and what had she had to deal with. So sad. Our current troubles are nothing to what this couple endured.
My paternal grandmother saw a Wild West Show in London I think, when she was a girl and remembered Buffalo Bill especially. She would have been as fascinated as I am by these famous and infamous people being so expertly revitalised. The music chosen adds an extra poignancy, there's an underlying sadness in it. Your work makes me a little sad; because they look so hopeful in the photos, but the empire is no more, what they stood for is trampled on and dismissed ... it would have saddened them deeply .... I'm glad they're not 'woke' in every sense! Another triumph. Thank you.
It's strange, but when they're in their original B&W setting, it's easy to feel disconnected to them. When they're redone in this way, you feel the connection to them somehow. Their clothing is so beautiful, the women had virtually no make up on yet they are so beautiful. And such a different world they are from. They're also very sad since at the time these were taken, these people were looking forward to their futures, their eyes with hopes of life and happiness.
Incredible! First of yours I've seen. Yours make all other colorized photos look like color crayons. When I saw the first blink, I thought I had imagined it! Went through a second time & saw the head movements. Almost frightening. I appreciate that you give enough time to really study & appreciate...up & down & back, not just flipping through them. How does the colorist know the eye/hair/skin tones & colors? Altogether remarkable!
I like that you're being awfully respectful to these people. Just the bare minimum of movement to make them come alive. No spectacular fantasies here. I LOVE your work, please keep on moving.
I can't wait until technology progresses (exactly in the direction these beautiful recreations are going) to a point where we can put on our goggles and sit down and have a conversation with people from the past
I'm mesmerized by the changes and how I percieve these people once color is added and then their eyes amd mouths!... oh the eyes reflect so much more with color and movement no matter how subtle. It's interesting how some if the criminal types did not smile. I would like to see their smile and teeth too
These are absolutely beautiful. In some of them, he has the hair and hats move with the head, when the head turns - which is excellent. I have noticed, however, that when most people colorize these old photos, they do not have the chest rise and fall, when they 'wake up' the face. Very few people can sit still for very long, without breathing!
Thank you so much. These make a world of difference in the colorless past that seemed unreal. I’ve always dreamed I’d see photos like this but never thought it would happen. All I can say is wow 🤩 and thank you
I am totally fascinated by this whole thing ... I find myself re-watching and gob smacked by the whole process ... If you can get them to breathe and look into the camera as well ... I will be amazed
Just when I think these photos can’t get any better you wow us again! I think this is my favorite! I loved the Eagle Chief, and the two ladies. When they’re animated I tell myself they have traveled through time just so we can meet them. Look forward to each post! What amazing talented photo artists!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💗💗💗
Watching this all tucked up in bed and these folks are the perfect companions! I’ll dream of them tonight. Love the couple at the beginning and doing my best guess their age. Wondering what I’d have looked like at their age in 1860 ( I dread to think! 🤭) another highly entertaining and stunning video, Mystery Scoop! Chapeau 🎩 🌺🌷🌸🌹💕🌈❤️
Photos more than a century old remade to look as if they were taken yesterday. Another miracle of modern technology. I can’t wait until the same is done for motion pictures.
I'm sure that the colourisation process is very time consuming as it is skillful. It really makes the subject "live" visually for the viewer. Personally I find this work fascinating and I look forward to seeing the next installment.
Great job, i'm very happy to see your videos, delighting for soul ! I'm very curious about to know what is the algorithm used for the face animation? If i have two little criticize about the animation is that the eye blinking can something seem unnatural (maybe the frequency, maybe the speed), and sometime because the face extrapolation is (by essence) limited to face, there's little strange effects (ex: 3:04 the neck is ok, but the hat do not move correctly). In all case, very good job and wondeful UA-cam channel.
These colorizations definitively “bring to life” these pictures, and on top of that, these persons. It’s easier to see a bit more how their personality was. It’s amazing
I live in North Idaho right next to Montana...I have studied the plains Indians. I find these photos bringing life to the individuals you have chosen, thank you!!!
I believe that you will have plenty jobs to do with all those B&W photographies that are everywhere around the world! Bravo for your work! I really like what you are doing!
the eyes blinking on the couple was novel. however at start of Victor Hugo i hoped 'please don't let his eyes move'. once they did it was so eery. all i, even as a highly creative being, could think is "no that's not right". Gee I must have a more feral and 'primitive' aspect than i realized. This video is SCARY. Yet fascinating so i'll watch to its end, before secluding back to my dimension where familiar surrealism is enough and matters explored in The Twilight Zone , One Step Beyond and shows about fractals boggle my neuro-transmitters enough. Almost forget - this is astounding with such meticulous detail and subtle nuances. Thanks for the exposure to possibilities which 'are' AND 'will be'.
I have collected Ambrose type A daguerreotype photos since I was a boy back then you could pick up whole photo albums for just a couple of bucks I would take them home and stare at them for hours wondering what their lives and personalities where like what they were thinking that day when this photo was taken. It's always been enchanting and a passion thank you for sharing this window of life
Thankyou for your hard work with all of this! Very interesting to see. All these people from over 100 years ago! I will never be on one of these when I die.Im not famous. Thanks again.Nice work!
Just amazing , Buffalo Bill and his show came to Blackpool in England with Jayne Mansfield my grandmother saw them how wonderful that would have been .
Now we know where Johnny Depp got the idea for Tonto's headdress in The Lone Ranger remake. Unidentified woman at the 2:20 mark and her hat. I see the dead crows now.
Absolutely amazing technology. The music is much better than the previous loud and obnoxious music in previous videos. I predict that some day some genius will figure a way to make the photos speak too. thanks.

Thanks for identifying the medal.
Can you even imagine being a living descendant of one of these people and being able to see them as they were then, brought to life...amazing.
Exactly what I thought. Inagine your own late relatives brought to life. I'd love to see my grandparents and parents smiling again.
My father was a professional photographer and cinematographer his whole life. He would have been absolutely fascinated by these. Wonderful.
These keep getting better and better each time. Never tire of looking,
Thank you...
It's absolutely amazing what technology and talent can achieve. Equally amazing is the thought that a couple of years from now, all of these are going to look comically clunky.
Great! I love the black and white photos to look at. Colorized and animated, it's like being transported to their world.
The first couple made me emotional. What had he seen, what had he endured... and what had she had to deal with. So sad. Our current troubles are nothing to what this couple endured.
My exact same sentiments, sir.
My paternal grandmother saw a Wild West Show in London I think, when she was a girl and remembered Buffalo Bill especially. She would have been as fascinated as I am by these famous and infamous people being so expertly revitalised.

Interesting story and thank you so much for your kind words!
Very thought-provoking!😀
These colorization really make history come alive. Really makes you appreciate that the people in the pictures lived. It’s amazing.
Love the way he humanizes the photis with blinking eyes and head movements.
It's strange, but when they're in their original B&W setting, it's easy to feel disconnected to them. When they're redone in this way, you feel the connection to them somehow. Feels like going back in time. Makes historical figures and regular folk more real.
Great stuff!! Subbed! Crazy to think, all of us someday will be just a picture, like these, for future generations to see and wonder about OUR lives..
I’ve seen other colorization in other channels, but yours are the best.
They sure are. "
True. I’m still kind of anti-colorization because of what Ted Turner did, but the pics in this channel are so well done.

That was amazing! Beautiful work that doesn't bring them to our times but brings us back to theirs.
Thank you so much. These make a world of difference in the colorless past that seemed unreal. I’ve always dreamed I’d see photos like this but never thought it would happen. All I can say is wow 🤩 and thank you
Thank you too!
Remarcable the sufferings in the portret of Victor Hugo. His eyes are so sad
Had to do a double take when they moved!! Amazing 👏
I am totally fascinated by this whole thing ... I find myself re-watching and gob smacked by the whole process ... If you can get them to breathe and look into the camera as well ... I will be amazed
Both fantastic and fascinating and scary as hell, all at once.
Just when I think these photos can’t get any better you wow us again! I think this is my favorite! I loved the Eagle Chief, and the two ladies. Julia your comment is very thought provoking. Well stated.

A must every evening before I go to bed.

I do believe I am in love with Chief Eagle. What a great beauty and those clothes!
This is so awesome. I would love to have some of my parents old photos be able to do this.
Amazing! Many years ago I attempted hand tinting, it calls for a talented and artist hand. This is very impressing work.
These people are almost brought to life again !😳
Another great effort! This is just like stepping back in past. Thanks again for all of this.
The little girl with the dog and the chief eagle.
These were magnificent especially the Indian and Albert
Bringing the past alive is awesome and breathtaking. It makes history so much more exciting.
I'll say again, great work, love how these photos are transformed for a clearer look of the past, well done

your videos are great! could you do the famous composers too sometime?
Possibly!
It's been done. See the one of Richard Wagner, Lea.
Amazing and so, so real. One feels one could see them in the street and say ‘hello’.
Incredible breaks my heart to see how we fade as a blade of grass...
Almost felt like Albert Einstein was really talking to me. 😲
Well, just in case, get your questions ready 😀
These colorizations definitively “bring to life” these pictures, and on top of that, these persons. It’s easier to see a bit more how their personality was. It’s amazing
The animation contributes as well👌🏻
The couple in the first picture look like characters from Oliver Twist. BTW thx you for sharing
I live in North Idaho right next to Montana...I have studied the plains Indians. I find these photos bringing life to the individuals you have chosen, thank you!!!
Fascinating. Chilling. Wonderful.
Just fantastic! I know someday I will see my ancestors come to life. I will forever be in awe of "Mystery Scoop!"
All were amazing! Especially the lady in #4 and Chief Eagle!
I believe that you will have plenty jobs to do with all those B&W photographies that are everywhere around the world! Bravo for your work! I really like what you are doing!
my best series so far, absolutely fantastic. Also I love how native americans looked before.
Chief looks magnificent!...
Capone, before and even after still looking like a unforgiving gangster..thanks for sharing, great work//
His colorizations are amazing.
The hat in the unidentified woman @ 2:30 looked like the headdress Johnny Depp wore in "The Lone Ranger."
Breathtaking!
Whenever I see these there is always a WOW factor
#3 was stunning.
The background music somehow makes it more surreal
Fabulous colourisation, it really brings them to life. It makes them feel more contemporary.
There was 'something' about the face of the elderly lady #1. A sweet gentleness. #4 was so pretty, refined, looks intelligent, but also looks sad.
This is so beautiful.
I was held Spellbound by their eyes it's almost hypnotic absolutely brilliant Bravo
Amazing pictures! Very good job. Love these videos. Thanks. 👍👍❤️❤️

OMG how BEAUTIFUL....It’s just life like when you see the eyes wake up.....What a GREAT VIDEO....THANK YOU....
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm still amazed and upset to have seen the great Victor Hugo blinks...
Why should you be upset? Blinking is a normal thing to do for a human being. For a living human being, that is.
@@stanislavasuplatovich2826 ~ I Absolutely Agree With You.
