@@Green-tt9cx I'd say Jin's more on par with Batman. He can be anything Tsushima needs him to be. An outcast. A legend. Not the hero Tsushima deserves, but the one it certainly needs at the time. And so they'll hunt the Ghost.

Suckerpunch is probably the only game company that give you different choices upon defeating bosses or doing actions, depend on what kind of ending/story you want to follow, just like the old days of infamous (delsin bad ending is kinda badass though)
yeah, games like rdr2 give you "choices", but it usually ends up being basically the same thing

From my thoughts, this game is absolutely beautiful, I rate it 9.5/10. I like the story, about one samurai who lost his honor but rose up to become Ghost and defended the people and drove Mongolians out through brutal methods like poison even though he was condemned for doing dishonorable things. For gameplay, it's very amazing, the combat is very intense. I know it's not Assassin's Creed, but almost everything is similar to Assassin's Creed gameplay mechanics like parkour and stealth. Honestly, if I observe correctly, I see players use swords, bows and arrows, it would be flexible to use variety of weapons like spears and heavy weapons and use captured Mongolian weapons, but keep Sakai's katana as default and irreplaceable weapon. I don't know if samurai lets them to use captured enemy weapon and able disarm the enemy, I'm no expert. And maybe the game should have player carry the dead body to hide it somewhere for stealth or to lure an enemy to death or distraction just like Assassin's Creed. I like the graphics, the environment and landscape are really nice which made me feel that I am in Japan or Tsushima Island. I consider this is the best game of the year and deserve many awards. If there is sequel, maybe the story will talk about Jin Sakai will probably reclaim his honor, but keep his Ghost.

He was one of few the last remaining samurai on Tsushima. In real life all of the samurai were killed on Tsushima and Iki during the first mongol invasion.

Honestly not far off. The kamakura Shogun got overthrown like 50 year later because of the mongol invasion and wasting money. All the samurai clans turned on the shogunate.

I pity those who never gave this game a chance after being let down by all the other open world games. This is one of those rare games you'd buy a console for. Poetry in motion.
How this game was robbed of many awards it of should have won or been nominated for by The Last of Us Part 2 is beyond me. Finally being back home and to play videogames again, I finally get to play both Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part 2; The Last of Us Part 2 had a very poor narrative. Ghost of Tsushima made the samurai game genre feel fresh, truly gritty unlike any samurai game before it. It reminded me a lot of how Red Dead Redemption brought an appeal and appreciation to the Western genre both in games and culture.
As of tradition, this is very accurate.
I'm not Japanese, but i've read alot of history and it recalls to times when this accured.

@@ethanwilkins662 Because he's a hack who ruined a game series people loved, because of two characters motivated by survival and changing the theme to revenge, and forcing a trans friendly wahman, sucks up to Anita Sarkeesian, and acts like a baby when people point out legitimate criticisms and discuss the leaks. So yeah, Neil Druckmann deserves to be hated by the gaming community, because he cares more about gender politics than telling a story that people can connect to, unlike Ghost of Tsushima.
The shogun was a fool stuck in his own ways and made his follow samurai’s do the same. He would rather they died with honor than take advantage of stealth or poison and live to be with their families. Jin didn’t want to die for something so trivial and dangerous. If you fail to protect your home from invaders than “honor” becomes pointless. The only thing Jin is guilty of is protecting his home and family and teaching his people to never rely on someone who puts their beliefs above their safety. Lord Shimura chose those beliefs over his family. In the end the shogun is the one responsible for all their pain and suffering.
the leaves of the last battle ground has dead leaves and new blossoming cherry blossoms. i guess to signify that jin sakai is no more and he continues life as the ghost.
My expectations were subverted, but for once it was for the better

Lord shimura is the villain of his own story because he was willing to sacrifice an innocent woman like jin's friend yuna to the shogun and blame the poisoning of the mongols on her; something a man of honor should never do, so I personally don't care about lord shimura's pain, he deserves it and what better way for him to suffer more than to be spared and live with the humiliation of having his own nephew and "son" go on to become a better person and greater legend than him,the shogun and the entire class of the samurai. LONG LIVE THE GHOST!!! 🔥💯😉😁👍

I played The First Hunter's theme from bloodborne during this fight.
No offense to the soundtrack of Ghost (The soundtrack is phenomenal) but Gehrman's theme really fit with this ending.

Story telling of TLOU2 is actually the weakest spot of that game tho. It was an embarrasment compared to the TLOU1. It relies heavily only to shock factor and gritty violence, but very shallow, cheap and messy on the inside.

Listen, I don't want to be that guy, but this looks laughable compared to Sekiro's final boss.
Sekiro doesn't have as strong of a story, and took inspiration from Dark Souls. Obviously it won't have the same difficulty.
Best boss 2 fight ! Number 1:Sekiro sword saint number 2: ds3 Gael. Sekiro so far classic. Still £40 on ebay

I mean, I don’t think this fight was meant to be hard considering Jin has adapted his fighting style, upgraded his gear, and learned mythical techniques, while Shimura didn’t want to be open minded.

Not really Lord Shimura was forced into a corner either he goes with his nephew and defies the Shogun or goes with the Shogun and attempts to kill Jin. Lord Shimura even says the killing Jin isn’t a choice its a punishment.

The real "bad guy" has Kothun Khan, not Shimura. This final fight is a confrontation of opposed beliefs.
