    The Moral Letter to Lucilius are a collection of 124 letters which were written by Seneca the Younger at the end of his life, during his retirement, and written after he had worked for the Emperor Nero for fifteen years. (These Moral Letters are the same letters which Tim Ferriss promotes in the Tao of Seneca)

    This is very weird and inconsistent. Was Cato a lover of the State? His entire career even before the rise of Caesar was to constantly struggle against the corruption and bribery of the Republic, and his father and uncles against the Dictatorship of Sulla.. The struggle against the Rulers was the defining characteristic of Catos whole life.. And according to Seneca Cato was the epitome of a Wise Man.. There are a lot of bootlicking moments in senecas work which I cant help but think where shaped by the position he had in Neros administration.. I think thats why hes rightly called a hypocrit at times
