You deserve more views man , this is ancient knowledge, with a great calming voice reading it
Tragic Isn’t it . I’ve returned to the reader’s “On the shortness of life “ .time and time again .
Very excited to listen. This man deserves more supporters.
He is ztoic it doesn't concern him
Yes what Vox Stoica is doing is both high quality and necessary to know so the human race can become better.
“It’s not at all that we have too short a time to live, but that we squander a great deal of it.” Seneca. Your channel inspires me to live a better, more inclusive life. Thank you!
Stoicism is to live well, whether in a castle or under a bridge.
Came here after reading that Calvijn, the reformer, had written a commentary on this very book in the mid 16th century.
It's fascinating how these words have transcended time. Yet disheartening how they are still relevant to this day.
Thank you very much for this reading!
wonderful wonderful! let all politicians listen to it and act accordingly. thanks Vox!
Thank you! I've waited for this for quite some time.
I think that I would be listening to your reads for the rest of my life, specifically those of Seneca.
I love your channel and admire your work.
Thank you Robin. ✍️

As is a tale, so is life. Not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.
Great one .
Thank you sir
Awesome
For the algorithm!
I try to learn a lot about the roman emperors.. I feel like Nero was the one that really tried the hardest to be a good emperor despite his character. Time after time, when he listened to advice he tried to adjust to critism. By the looks of it, a man with strange demeanor but with great wisdom and humble in listening to people that know better... He truly is different than the rest of the roman emperors.
Thank you Robin
thanks!
Thank you 🙏
Is there a part 2

Concerning Book 1:23
I wonder if the "War on Drugs" and other "wars" were established as a way to convince people to use and/or sell drugs. Specially in areas with greater vigilance. Too many people behind bars for putting thing in their bodies, as if it were a crime. Yet nowadays crime, it seems to me, can be better defined as: That which a governing body deems as punishable, regardless of wether or not it is harmful to another or maybe even one self.
More or less.
The ancients had such knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge which has been passed down through millenia, only without successfully transferring the wisdom to accompany it.
Thank you for such wonderful reading.
I guess this letter didn't really work...
It certainly didn't Nero turned out to be a total bastard and Seneca writing this letter probably knew exactly the nature of this man
