I definitely vote for salad month. Let me be clear, I have no interest in the perfect salad. I want to see Josh have a meltdown after day 5 of Salad month.
Could you do a series dedicated to the mythical crew members and their comfort foods? It would be cool to have them help cook the dish and explain their stories behind why that is their comfort food.
my favorite Joshism is when when he says "this is just like a (insert classic Middle Eastern/French/Spanish/Asian) dish" and then says "but without (insert every important ingredient) and with (insert whatever is in front of him)".
Burrito Month A very versatile food that can range from dirt cheap to expense, simple to extravagant, and they're good all times of the day. I'd love to see vegan/vegetarian versions, some breakfast burritos, a dessert burrito and maybe some almost offensive fusion burrito.
"Now we're going to take a bowl. It's like a plate, but deep." The offhanded comments have me in tears every time. This is the only cooking show I watch every episode of regardless if I plan on pretending I'm going to make the food one day.
TBH it took me a couple episodes to vibe with the incessant chatter… then I just enjoyed its silliness (and also realized that prob exactly what I would do, prob not as humorously, with a camera on me while cooking 🤪🙂) I wish it was more than once a week.
Unironically, a salad month would be great...so many people don't know how to make a salad taste good but they absolutely can. There are already so many videos out there on making ''the perfect burger/pizza/grilled cheese'' etc
I personally would love a salad month for vegetarians. I get so annoyed that every “ premium” salad in a restaurant or at the grocery store has chicken or some other meat in it. Give me some delicious lentil salad or farro salad or some other form of protein that isn’t meat.
Could always go wide with a "holiday foods" category, sampling iconic holiday foods across the board and variations / best ways to cook them. Of course, there's always cookies revisited in how to make perfect imperfect cookies. Keep up the great work as always!
Honestly, I would love a culture month where you guys just cook up dishes from different cultures. Have Josh finally cook up some of his Favorite Filipino dishes. Nicole over there can finally show her favorite Persian cuisine, and just give some love to persian cuisine. Mainly I'm curious on how deep Josh goes with his love of filipino food.
This would probably bring out all the pretentious food snobs. I love foods from different cultures, but people always have to act like they know better.
@@Chooopy As a fellow Idahoan, I'm pretty sure this episode already showcased all the Idaho cuisine. Although, now that I think of it, it might be fun to watch them desperately trying to fill an entire month with just potato dishes.
He did that one with chicken adobo coxinhas a bit ago, that was Brazil/Philippines fusion. And I remember him talking a lot in that one about how much he loves filipino food.
After watching Rhett and Link cook the mythical Kitcheneer’s a casserole I feel like a series on casseroles might be nice. Maybe casseroles from different cultures or fancified casseroles. I don’t if kids these days understand the logistics of a good casserole. Maybe they could do an entire series called “Cooking Under Pressure” where they could focus on pressure cooker and even sous vide cooking. 🤷🏻♀️
Josh is a tactical genius. He is best known for his signature tactic ”palm heel strike”. He also has a second little known tactic of ”making inappropriate comments that somehow still make it into the videos”. What a legend. Top 5 chef for sure.
I want a series where josh, Trevor and Nicole all get hammered off screen and then have to make a dish for under x amount of $. And they compete for who made the best one
Personally I think selecting something simple, such as Rice, would make for a wildly diverse month of dishes. These could include different types of rice, classical vs. chaos-infused recipes, breakfast through dessert, etc. Plus I think it would give people a lot of confidence to cook a wide variety of dishes with a simple, cheap, and universally available ingredient!
I’ve seen a few comments about doing a month dedicated to cultural dishes, my nomination would be to do Hungarian dishes. My great grandma was Hungarian and I loved what my grandma always called Hungarian cookies but I found out recently were called kiffles. We always had them at Christmas time and this year since my grandma is a bit older and my grandpa has passed away she said she wouldn’t be able to make them and I offered to make and bring them so she gave me the recipe.
"None of you ever believed in me." Good sir, when you recreated the blood taco and rhett actually enjoyed it; you had my faith, and respect from then on!
Yo your boy has stated publicly that he’s a huge salad guy. He cooks a lot of sloppy, inventive garbage. I’d be interested in seeing what he actually eats.
I think a BBQ/Smoked meat month would be great. This is a win-win for the audience and the Mythical Kitchen staff. First, the audience gets to see delicious meats be cooked. Second, due to the "low and slow" nature of BBQ, MK staff can justify sitting outside by the smoker browsing the web on your phone as work. In addition, the staff gets to eat delicious meats because BBQ should only be done with larger cuts with the intention of feeding lots of people. My favorite things to cook in the smoker include brisket, boston butt, chicken (whole, quarters, doesn't matter as long as it's bone in), ribs (pork or beef), and pork loin. It could also be a good opportunity to cook half a pig. I did that with my uncle one time and that is one of my favorite memories with him. We basically didn't eat dinner with the rest of our family because we were constantly performing quality control checks on the pig. By the time it was finished we had filled up on delicious pork. I've heard, but not experienced, that it's common in Mérida, Mexico to have one person in the neighborhood smoke an entire goat and then all the neighbors come make tacos straight off the smoker. Maybe BBQ/smoked meat month can be a way to experience American BBQ culture as well as smoked meat culture from other countries.

I actually really like salads and I would be so interested to see what kind of crazy monstrosity that josh could create that still fits in the definition of "salad"
I love the idea of themed weeks. You should do one with tortillas. The leftover hash reminded me of my youth where leftovers always got turned into burritos.
I would actually love a salad month! It’s so versatile (regular salad, pasta salad, potato salad). Someone else mentioned a video on making your own salad dressing and I think that’s a great idea!
Yes do a salad month!! I feel like that could actually be really entertaining because salads are just so basic, I loved to see you guys get creative with it

For most of the video, I was like "This dad energy from Josh is an interesting change of pace." Then he started making the potato soup and said "BOUILLON!". And the Josh we love returned.
should totally do a salad month! You already do crazy burgers, pizzas and fried chicken all the time (and all of it looks so good and I want to crawl into the screen to it) but salad! You could do like a grain salad! Leaf salad! So many...would be fun to see your take on them.
should do a budget theme like every dish can be made with like 20 bucks, i liked "Can Josh Make a Gourmet Meal Out of These Mystery Ingredients?" would love to see more episodes like it
He actually did. He had a series called “Nickel and Dine” but he only did like two episodes. It was him trying to make gourmet meals with really little money like less than $2 a plate! Idk why he stopped
I remember my dad found a perfectly, beautifully round stone at the college he was teaching in and made sure to bring it home to make "stone soup" with - all because of my obsession with that story. It was really sweet of him (mediocre soup though, I wasn't super into vegetables at that age lol)
I'd love to see every type of "salad" for a month, but have none of them actually be the traditional bowl of greens with a topping. Make potato salad, egg salad, tuna salad, macaroni salad. Do some of them in the "fancy fast food," do some of them in the "past food" (I think KFC used to have macaroni salad when I was a kid), do some of them in a "three easy steps" formula. And then, to cap it off, at the end of the month do one of the "shorts" and it's just Josh eating a bowl of ranch covered iceberg lettuce. No description of how it's made, just him sitting there eating it, staring dead eyed at the camera. Disappointed.
Corned beef hash from a can is so nostalgic! My dad always told us it was dog food, so he didn’t have to share. Once I learned it was actually people food I fell in love with it. So. freaking. good.
I would like an entire month dedicated to pasta salads and other potluck staples. Very important knowledge if we're ever able to have social gatherings of that nature again.

"Scoopsky potato's! Scoopsky po-tah-toes!" The family who put up with him at that restaurant helped make that episode so fun. Impractical Jokers are FABULOUS
I'd love to see food from less 'common' places cause joshs knowledge is fantastic. I'm thinking Eastern Europe/Africa/Oceania maybe. Or fusion would be sick. Maybe like you have a random two countries where you do a fusion of their food. Like I made polish/Korean dumpling soup
I think my favorite part about the mythical kitchen is the fact that we get to hear Josh slosh all of the food in his mouth, as he makes a valiant attempt to explain the complexity of flavors.
I would seriously watch a Salad Month, but I would also give it 6 days before Josh abandons reason and makes a plate of Tortilla Salad which totally isn’t just nachos
fries would be a cool idea for a whole month, they're real versatile and there's a lot of variation, shoestring, waffle, curly, steak, double battered, etc. Then after that you have a lot of variations still, w/ seasonings, like the Cajun fries at Five Guys, there's a local place that puts the tiniest bit of brown sugar on them and it's so good, and I'm sure y'all could think of more, and then there's ways to use them, obviously a side dish, an ingredient (like in California burritos) or poutine. you could probably stretch that out to a months worth of content. French Fry February, this writes itself!
I’d absolutely love it if you could did a children’s month - Nicole says she worked with children and Trevor is still a child… show me things I can Cook for my daughter that she might eat. Her current diet is mild butter chicken and rice; spaghetti bolognese; macaroni cheese and sausages…. I’d love more options.
Chickie Nuggies ! Or I guess the term is popcorn chicken. Don't have to be frozen, cut up some chicken breasts into popcorn sized chunks. & bread them in bread crumbs. The seasoning aisle at Walmart has a ton of seasonings in those envelopes, real cheap. My kids love the garlic Parmesan one. Bonus points if your kid breads 'em herself cause she gets to participate.
Instead of a theme month for a specific ingredient I'd be more interested in regional themes. Pick a region of the planet for a month and each episode is centered around regional dishes of a different part of that region whether they be countries, counties, states, provinces, etc.
I'd love to see a series on eggs. Like more of as a meat substitute (for when it's the only thing in the fridge)... I know there's like 100 ways to cook an egg but I feel like if I want eggs in a meal for dinner I'm either scrambling or poaching in a sauce.
As has been said before, I think a rice month would be a great way to give people a wide variety of recipes for a cheap and easily attainable food. I personally would benefit greatly since I eat a lot of rice but only know a handful of ways to prepare it and incorporate it into meals.
The hash he made really reminds me of bubble n' squeak, which is the leftovers from cabbage ham and mashed potatoes cooked just like that, and I used to eat it with the crispy bits and melted butter 😋 very traditional Irish food 🇮🇪
Thank You Josh, my family gets most of its food from food pantries, and recently they gave me a case of frozen french frys and frankly i have no idea what to do with 20lbs of frozen french frys.
A trick I like for doing breakfast hash...instead of frying the egg separately, when the hash is almost done, make a few wells in the hash, and crack the eggs straight in. Usually I'd put the cheese on top, but then the eggs might get a bit overcooked (if you put the cheese on before they're totally done, it might mix?). So I agree with Josh putting the cheese in the main hash...but yeah, crack the eggs in a well (I think if the well goes all the way down to the pan, they cook a bit faster), then cover and cook for like 2-4 minutes. You still get that nice runny yolk, but the eggs are cooked well.
I absolutely love the moment when Josh stuffs some of the hash in his mouth and just hwasahuffa from the heat and wet smacks for a good while before cooling down with crunchy yogurt. Followed by Nicole’s amused cackles.
I would love a spice/herb month. Different blends, what different cultures use the spices, etc. I think you could do a lot, while highlighting cuisines from around the globe.
I definitely vote for salad month. Let me be clear, I have no interest in the perfect salad. I want to see Josh have a meltdown after day 5 of Salad month.

yes! or even a holiday meal and each member of the team creates a dish
Baking monthhhh
The Great Mythical Bake-Off.
I miss food fears. I would love to see another one of those
fries would be a cool idea for a whole month, they're real versatile and there's a lot of variation, shoestring, waffle, curly, steak, double battered, etc.
The eye contact while Josh just chomped on that massive breakfast hash bite, and then GRABBED A PIECE OF FROZEN GREEK YOGURT.... dead.
I would love to see a salad month. The mythical kitchen always goes in such fun/solid/crazy directions and I would love to see that applied to salads.
Josh, you are #1 on my youtube food show list!
“And Trevor is still a child...” 💀
Homemade pizzas where you let your daughter choose the toppings? (Butter chicken is also a valid topping, funny enough)
Have a different kid of a crew member on the panel to taste the food - including the pickiest eater: Link
@@sjbchipmunk Get Link to eat it too, simply because I think his kids inherited their mom's stomach.
I know it was a joke but I’d genuinely love to see salad month. Every kind of salad possible. All the salads in the world
Watching Josh’s slow descent into madness is always my favorite part about these videos
Seeing this exact comment every time is my least fav part of these videos
I like the burger month idea. Also pasta month, rice month -a good base you can really build upon
“You’re gonna take a bowl, that’s like a plate but deep” WHY DID THIS MAKE ME LAUGH SO HARD 😭😭
As has been said before, I think a rice month would be a great way to give people a wide variety of recipes for a cheap and easily attainable food. I personally would benefit greatly since I eat a lot of rice but only know a handful of ways to prepare it and incorporate it into meals.
Winter is coming. A theme month on soups or braised meat would be awesome, useful, and timely. Lots of possibilities with both.
The whole premise of every episode is josh cockily tempting the kitchen equipment until they start to fight back
Nicole screaming in the back "THAT'S MY LUNCH" is glorious.
I could listen to Josh ramble about nonsense all day long. You totally need an app I can download to just listen to you ramble about crazy stuff.
I would love a spice/herb month. Different blends, what different cultures use the spices, etc. I think you could do a lot, while highlighting cuisines from around the globe.
TACO MONTH!!!! please do a taco month
Theme month: soup. It's like magnets; I have no idea how they work.
i think it would be really cool if yall did a month of exploring foods from different cultures and backgrounds of the mythical crew!!
Damn I love Josh…. “We’re gonna take a bowl, it’s like a plate…but deep.” 🤣🤣🤣
ramen. a whole month with Josh devoted to making ramen would be amazing.
Theme Month: Tofu
I am genuinely curious what the mythical kitchen would do given a whole month with the blank cavas that is tofu.
Probably add other things to it so it has flavor
@@chrismanuel9768 duh.
We need Josh on Beat Bobby Flay now lol 😂 Or chopped, I feel like that chaos is made for him!
I love french fries almost as much as I love Josh.
No. Wait. Fries are better. Sorry Josh.
How about eating fries of Joshes body?
@@sergeserenkov4733 that's cannibalism
Bring on Salad Month !!!! Green Salads, fruit salads, side salads, grilled salad.... so many possibilities!!
