Man!! Ive had tickets to see them since 2020 in Chicago Illinois. Covid had canceled it till 2022. I pray that they bring all of their cool fire toys and tricks along with the incredible instruments snd Till's insanely awesome voice!

My interpretation of the song is this-we assume that if we lead a good life we can assume that we can enter heaven after death and leave all burdens behind. Life might have been difficult, but at least we were good people and secured our place in heaven. What we don't appreciate is that heaven brings its own burdens and it's possibly not the wonderful place that we want it to be. This is why Till sings "God knows I don't want to be an angel"-we deprive ourselves of so much for a relatively short time just to suffer further burden for eternity in heaven. The wings he wears in these performances display the weight on his shoulders both as a man and as a potential angel. The wings weighed between 50 and 70 kgs. Till injured his back in rehearsal prior to one concert so the band changed the performance to one where he levitated while wearing the wings but the weight was no longer so heavy on his back. In the current tour, the band performs a piano version of the song only. Till is now 58 and it may be difficult for him to use the wings now.
