Here are a couple of things I’ve been thinking about:
1. The alters probably have something to do with the starless. Considering their name seems to be a small nod to A. Beast from PSO1, which where natives that were altered by the saps from De Rol Le. While they said the Starless are not SEED, that doesn’t mean the Starless can’t share similarities. Maybe the the Starless alter other life forms and the alters were put on Halpha to prepare us. Also, the designs of the alters remind me of how PSU enemies look like.
2. The new enemies they showed in the ver2 trailier reminded me a bit of a mix of PSO1 Dark enemies and alters.
3. I have not played the PS classic games, but I did look up some info on PS III. There are some interesting parallels with NGS:
A: Leciel seems to be a reference to the ‘Le Cille’ family line in the game. There even seems to be a Aina Le Cille.
B: I still think H-alpha is actually a multi dome space ship like in PSIII. The borders on Halpha might be there to hide the separate domes. That might also explain why there can be drastically different climates.
C: PSIII has 3 generations, just like Resurgent Arks, having 3 generations… that is also probably not a coincidence
D: We might find some more clues about the NGS story by looking at PSIII?
4. Aina is a second generation RA. Aina has red eyes, like every female companion since PSO. Who was our red eyed companion in PSO2 base who was also a second generation? Hmm…
Love the comment. I was thinking the same thing for a while so I was gonna play the og phantasy star games to probably get some clues. Wanna do all of em tho so starting at 1 first lol. That game is hard XC
@@LoneKuroRaifu I got the first game for the Master System, so started playing it a while back. Game is quit hard, so I am approaching it very carefully.
for the 4th point : Aina its not a 2nd generation Ranger , she is a decendant of a 2nd Gen Arks.
Zephetto call the test subjects of each experiment as Generations
which means present Arks are the grandchildren or great grandchildren of the 2nd Gen Arks , decendants of the survivors of Kvaris war.
Man it was spot on on the Starless being referenced as SEED. It was nudge back to PSU but yeah, it was just a nudge just like the Ryuker devices. I think the story definitely will go into a new territory, but seeing that Base PSO2 is now in canon and that it is confirmed 1000 years had past, we are truly lucky that someone like Zephetto existed, if not for him telling us all that in Chapter 5, and if we are still guessing again and again it'll be kinda bad. Still, if Space Exploration is going to be a thing and maybe bringing back Ultimate mode might change the same old content on Planet H Alpha. Let's really hope the rest of the ULTRA EVOLUTION is not just gameplay revisions but story evolution as well.
I knew it was linked to Geppetto, who is the crafter of Dolls (in this case Pinocchio), if you change one katakana symbol of the Japanese name between that and Zephetto, you would get the hint. I gave clues about it to two streamers way back at the Chapter 5 release, Troy Maconn (Global) and Sisonatto_Vtuber (JP), it took a while for them to understand the reference. It's unfortunate that only a few of us knew about it and other people don't discuss it openly.
To be clear this point was in reference to people guessing the name Zephetto/Geppetto before chapter 5 released.

1 why the Alters become stronger in the night?
2 what are the Starless
3 as you mention in the end : what is the Etherverse Earth status?
for this one: dont get your hopes high , devs showed they are ashamed of everything related to EP4 back in EP 5 and 6 .
if we see the Earth again its probably going to be a post apocaliptic setting , Aru its a Dark Falz in the end , a bad day its enought to turnback into his most primitive instincts and destroy everything until nothing left.
I didn't pay attention to the number when the cut scene played, but when you wrote it out I noticed: 3.1415926 is Pi. The time is 10,000,000 x Pi. It may not mean anything, I just think it's cool.
Whoa I was so focused on the year I didn't even see that. It could be a reference to how the series is circular retelling common elements in the series over and over in remixed ways each time like how Dark Falz and Mother Brain are the two most recurring antagonists in the series. Or like you said it could just be Pi
I love how Zephetto became the new Garoa the instant the community realised Garoa wasn't alive after all. There just always has to be a character that's presumed dead but is secretly alive, otherwise the community will implode.
Also I find it a bit funny how in the Starless/Dark Falz picture you're drawing comparison to the fact that, yes, they both do indeed seem to have fingers. I would love to have some visual callbacks to the original Dark Falz designs, though. I always liked the iconic Dark Falz look in 1, 2 and 4 more than the designs in any other Phantasy Stars.
An addendum to the NGS naming scheme: recently the game has derived many names and terms from real world languages, like Retem had many names lifted straight from Arabic. And as a Finnish person it was quite fun and odd at the same time going through Kvaris and having Finnish terms pop up all the time.
For example Kvaris Finnish names and their meaning:
The quintuplets:
Taivas - Heaven
Tuuli - Wind
Ilma - Air
Kukka - Flower
Meri - Sea
The two mountains in Kvaris:
Ihana - Lovely
Latva - Treetop
And the prefix for a lot of creatures in Kvaris was Lumi, which translates to Snow.
ngl that Sonic Frontiers theory is really wild and really interesting, i kinda wish they have an actual collab PSO2NGSxSonic like a quest, Sonic Boss battle or some interacting with Sonic character than just a items code giving things...
They actually did have a quest way back in the days of PSO called Tinkerbell's Dog 2. In that Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles joined your party to find a missing dog on Ragol. Way non-canon though.
OK you get a Sub and my full attention for every new and previous lore video you have done, i found you at random and these are just the kinds of vids i need to go along with my wild speculation and improvising this goofy ahh games lore thankyou. PS i always saw the Alters as a fake species created to mimic a random assortment of previous enemies for training purposes if you look at alot of the movesets and designs of the Alters they are alot like old PSO2 enemies one great example would be the Roufin Bear & Bikuda Rabitta. Also the name Alters always sounded like alternate to me like alternate representation just like we have Formers for former enemies and animals.

Weird thought. But if we're going with the electron theory for why the Dolls change color, perhaps Electrons and Photons are somehow related to one another in some way. Makes you wonder what exactly happens when a creature is devoid of Photons/Electrons to make them turn purple, or just look different

I always found it strange that the starless are weak to dark but deal dark damage and debuffs. It reminds me of the photoner machines in ep6 so i wonder if they are constructed, itd explain why they never attacked the inner system as revealed in a cutscene.
Halphia lake battle theme also reminds me of the battle music that plays on Naverius during the ep3 story
I have a feeling that next Episode is gonna be a gradual replacement of DOLLS in all sectors (exploration/combat) with Starless enemies (tho you still could fight them on current difficulty ranks, new enemies just gonna be on higher ones).
Even though some people are getting too impatient for new content in NGS, I'm happy there's more lore in the game's story and connections to the Base PSO2 series

We have no idea at this point. We don't know if it was destroyed 500 years ago or not.
H-alpha can be Oracle Mothership? I also want to know us we fight Dark Falz aegis end in-ground glow light photon given to RA9G3-T909 and drill supply photon quest mission why do we need to defend?
At retem city what kind of ship? is that can be Oracle Mothership in front drop something? can you help me check and confirm?
