If you like Cosmetics that're 90% Pay2Play & only for the sake of affording BiS gear without having to EARN it. If you like BiS Augments locked behind Gamble2Win (Addi/ Capsules are THAT Op now, as each type is it's OWN stand-alone Aug. Group, with 3-5 different Affects PER Capsule/Aug.) If you like grinding 5ever for literally NOTHING. Then yeah, there's "ALOT" to farm for.
incoming wall-of-text rant Sega should be at least slightly embarrassed by how many can just tell from near factual, anecdotal, evidential experience that players even attempt to farm beyond a normal amount of runs for a specific rare drop, It's found it SO FUTILE & low rate odds that it's just for memes at this point of trying to find anything valuable, it isn't that you CAN'T farm because the droprate is so abysmal, you "CAN" get a uber rare.. but more so you're only playing for fun until it's not fun farming.. you can't even hope to get *Kukuhroziat Almati for example or purp trigger MTN's at all and then there's Rugged -> Gunblaze's..... no.... I don't really care for these weapons, they don't stand up to uber level weapons like old pso games weapons like Psycho Wand for example, couldn't be bothered into thinking it was worth a lick of time.
Remember items like limiter/adept, sealed-j sword, and Excalibur? Not only were they incredibly rare, but then there was a process to unlock their true potential - not just toss some meseta at an npc, but by actually playing the game. Or the Chao wand, where you needed to get a branch of paku paku and take it somewhere specific to afix the chao onto it. There was soul and passion in original PSO. It wasn't about some arbitrary loot box gambling experience, it was about giving players a multitude of ways to have fun. It actually rewarded your persistence. Charge weapons. Berserk weapons. Weapons with % modifiers that actually made a significant difference. It made playing through the same zones thousands of times a rewarding experience because of the sheer variety of things a person could attain through gameplay. I remember finding a God/Battle on dreamcast pso for the first time, slotting it in my gear, and then getting to experience how big of a difference just that item alone had. And it only made me want to play more. To go out and try to get another to be able to trade for an item my section id wasn't able to get. 2 or 3 cosmetics in each area of NGS vs the hundreds upon hundreds that are buyable from gacha mechanics is not a healthy game design. It rewards whales for opening their wallets instead of rewarding persistence and a mastery of gameplay. Someone can just open their wallet, sell the cosmetics and overpriced augments, and then buy the first gunblaze that hits the player market. Not because they over came some challenge. Not because they were good at their class. But because they have more disposable income they get to reap the reward. Take for example the free cosmetics they gave out over the holidays. Login, and we got however many free pulls for a chance at something from a large cosmetic pool that week. Why wasn't it tied to gameplay? I would've much rather seen a system where for that week, each uq or ordinal tower run, purple trigger, etc had a guaranteed drop of an item from that pool in addition to the normal loot drops, up to a certain limit each day. That's how you reward gameplay. Thats how you keep people engaged with the content. Instead we logged on, got a huge dopamine hit from some free scratches right away, and then the rest of the gameplay session was typically just as uneventful as the last. Less eventful, even, because the rewards were all front loaded. I'm starting to ramble so I guess I'll just cut this off here. If you read this far you are a true meteorn 👍

Like, what's even the point of it being a Looter-RPG when there's no Loot, no Play2Gain cosmetics (unless you hate yourself, & don't respect your own time), TRUE BiS for Meta-builds are locked behind gambling for Addi/ Capsules (they really are THAT Op now) & nothing is designed to even ALLOW Trinity (Tank/Healer Capsules) to exist as an alternative to JUST "deal more Dmg./don't get hit", leaving what little IS left (the gameplay itself) to feel like a glorified cellphone game. (& if you have as much Exp as I do with them, you know how garbage THAT "experience " is)

There was a steady gear progression. By the time you reached the end of hard mode you mightve even been lucky enough to get your first varista. As you leveled the items in the shop leveled with you. As you completed one quest group you'd gain access to a new set of them. In NGS you take a set of gear you get for free basically all the way from aelio to kvaris. Then you grab some red box armors in kvaris to bump your basically meaningless battle power up to the required amount, and you'd be at "endgame." If you did stia at launch you grabbed your Primm libra weapon which hopefully you didn't put any decent augments in like I did, because it was worthless by the end of the first weekend once you got your first 15 infernium to grab a fixa1 kluklo and that was that. You got your red box armors right away with free mastery ivs already augmented and you probably still don't need to swap armors out if all you do is PSE and the occasional UQ. The whole process of getting geared seems artificial, hollow, and as shallow as a puddle. I'm not sure why people are excited to proclaim that fashion is the true endgame here. In other MMOs "fashion" is just the endgame gear you get from high-level raids/dungeons and crafting. It represents that an individual cleared a challenge or invested their time heavily into a particular style of play above and beyond what was needed to beat the content. In NGS you can play dress-up "endgame fashion" from level 1 if all you care about is idling in town. Sure, it's cool to be able to swap through multiple different looks, but really all it represents is either you opened your wallet or you farmed PSEs and bought off someone else who did.
Fun fact, a couple of those weapon camos are originally from base PSO2, and can be gotten pretty easily from some of the item vendors (photon drop shops, I think). The graphics in the NGS versions may or may not have been upgraded, but I haven't had the chance to compare them.
Hi Kero what about the limitd weapon camos that will be gone after Jan 25th? We couldn't get them all because Sega cancelled the the arks random challenge, any words about that?
Not the guy you asked, but if you're using Braver as your main class you might as well multi weapon Katana/Bow. The Optimization Skill lets you build purely for Melee or Range and both weapons will benefit, and the bow does have it's use cases over the Katana occasionally.
9:58 idk if this has been brought up yet, but annoying note about the bracelets. If you have alts, for whatever reason the game will not give them to you multiple times. They're stuck to the first character you complete the side quests with. Logic would dictate a second run would account-bind these items, or every character you have would have to run these sidequests to get them. But it seems since the items aren't tickets and are dumped directly into your accessories list, something somewhere bugs out after they've already been given to you once.

I'm missing the tail and ninja dash from trinitas. It will be nice once they add party finder for it. If you're able to consistently get S rank at cannonball strike the Pettas set isn't too bad of a farm. The yummy ice cream was actually the hardest drop out of there for me. Got multiples of everything else before getting one yummy to drop. I'm either very unlucky in ordinal, or wingspread has an abysmal drop rate. Probably both. Hundreds of runs there, still haven't seen the dash yet. Fortunately the glide dropped relatively early on for me so at least there's that. But as you point out, several variants of the motion changes have already been given away for free. Which again, gives many players no incentive to feel the need to farm them.
Or you could just wait till they add the idles in mission pass. That's where I got the ice cream and ninja dash idles from. Now watch as sega puts a wings spread variant in next mission pass.
Yes! Monster hunter rise come out for PS5, is cool and very fun to play, is real full contents game. I'm taking two years break from NG, it lacked content. Until they added new enemies variety, new planet and new content etc. NG is boring now! it feel like doing homework and mobile games milking players money with fashion. Hi keroppi, i just came back to ngs after long time but i can’t find my account anymore? is there a way to get it back somehow? i had 3 class lvl 40 with a lot of farmed mats but when i reinstalled game i didn’t find a trace of it
Make sure you installed the game on the right platform! (If you played way back in release you may have played VIA the Microsoft Store. If that is the case then you have to download the Microsoft Store version of NGS and then account link with Steam/ Epic games to play on those platforms!)

Geo Laby back then pretty much funded my whole current meseta wallet still. When farming it regular over time got a total of 4 Ninja dashes.
You have forgotten the Title Reward for Trinitas High Scorer IV by earning 200,000,000 Points you get a Mag Form

Standard Dash/C also drops within the UQ Dark Falz. Gotten it once before.
The only cosmetic I got so far was Kaizaar CV. Others never dropped.
