Thanks for this video. I'm glad that we're having more conversations about black women and luxury fashion. I love the support black women shirt! I agree...luxury should be approachable, casual, but classy.
Wow! So happy to have found your channel! Woke black woman here and I feel like often my politics and love of luxury don’t always mix? To me the two can exist together! Happy to see a kindred spirit. Looking forward to diving more into your content! Love!
I think embracing luxury is inherently political. It’s not just about fashion or materialism. It’s about believing we deserve to drink the best water, get the best rest and eat the best food. Society has told us the opposite. So happy you agree and welcome to the tribe!
Extremely helpful. And that tweed blazer is so casual chic. I just knew it was Chanel, so just know I was shocked when you said Gucci. Thank you so much.
Gurrrll, I had to turn the volume all the way up for this one!! I follow many of your tips and have gotten some great deals on the resale stores. I need to add getting notified when the brands have a sale. Oh and I luuuu...uuuveee Saw Grass Mills outlet! Ughh! So good. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️
Great tips. I have actually purchased the Rive Gauche and the YSL blogger bag for $300 less than retail from reputable online European platforms who represent multiple luxury boutiques on one site. Sometimes they may have 1 left and reduce the price.
You definitely have some great tips. I want to get more into buying shoes and ready to wear pieces and I will need all the tips and tricks for those items.
If you are looking for high quality leather goods you could also take a look at vintage Aigner pieces ( he was one of the expert leather handbag makers working for Hermès). The modern pieces are going down in quality but the old pieces - best leather I ever owned ( feels like sturdy saddle leather)
Do you ever shop Zara? (Fast Fashion) I buy a lot there, however, I am a bit of a fabric snob as well I have been shopping TRR for designer shoes and would like to step up my game & also try something like your capsule wardrobe. Trying to minimize and elevate.
Tip #6 is so important! I started dipping my toe into luxury slowly. Started with a card holder then a bag and so forth. Taking my time was key.
