hahaaaa.. yeahh a special edition EBMX battery with beefed up wiring, connectors, bike battery wiring also all custom.. this is a bike we are preparing for a World Cup and we just had this idea to sell this same tech to the public.. ohh yeahh

Does the motor temperature affect in any way to the cables down there ? Do they touch the motor casing ?
great question and I had the same question.
Yeaaahh I read your comment here and grabbed a heat gun and my Fluke precision thermometer and set a probe on the cable surface and went all the way up to 120 degrees Celsius and up to 110 the surface still hard and at 120 it starts to get soft but still far from melting. Most motors out there are set to run up to 100 Celsius as this is a magnet temp limitation. Some motors have magnets capable of 130 Celsius but here is the thing… this is an internal temperature which is always much higher than the shell outside and the controller needs to reduce power at least 5-10 degrees before it reaches that max temperature as there’s a thermal delay between heat build up and measurement.
That made me even more confident, yeah it’s safe to fit the cables there
Any air flowing around that motor area is enough to make the outer motor case cooler than 110-120 Celsius, even in a very hot day here in Australia with ambient temperature of 46 Celsius even that hot air (hot for us) is plenty to cool a 110 Celsius motor. You could do some experiments fitting a thermistor inside the motor and another touching the outer shell of the motor and take the motorcycle for a ride and the temperature difference will surprise you. I’ve done it myself so many times 😂

ridiculous taking to the next level... I don't even know how can anyone safely put all that power down for more than a few seconds before flipping the bike up in the air.. hahaha we've got some MX champion riders for that challenge
