      Whatever derived is in polar only. Power flow expression is having V and Y quantities right?
      V can be represented in polar
      Y also can be represented in polar
      If u want to represent it in rectangular form, you can . By the relation Y=G+jB

      Load meant for real and reactive powers. But, Power can be three types real, reactive and apparent. If you observe the derivation of static load flow equations i have represented the complex power in rectangular form just to separate the real and reactive powers. In load flow analysis, we want to see how much of real power and reactive power is flowing from one bus to other or in the network. If u are talking about the load and power in terms of real and reactive quantities, yes u can use the terms interchangeably.
