I’m looking into divorcing my wife. I have a stepdaughter through her. Stepdaughter is 13 going on 14 in July, does she have rights to voice her rights. Currently she doesn’t work retired VA that can work some but refuses to get even an online job but demands to have access to of my money, takes a large sum to put into secret account that I have no idea what she uses it for. I agree to her cigarettes to a certain amount to control her radical spending. Can she take ownership of my personal things? I don’t care if she gets the apartment and get the jeep as she bought it in full years ago. If she destroys any of my things can I call the police on her for damaging my personal property deliberately? She’s aggressive tone to me and her stepdaughter, refuses to go to therapy and said 3 yrs ago she had a therapist for each of us but said she won’t get it one until I get one. She corrupted my passive nature to follow her logic “I have to yell in order to be heard for no one will listen if I talk. Never yelled at her youngest unlike she has. I suspect she’s cheating and she’s got a secret account I feel she might be using to prevent me from seeing her unfaithful acts. What can I do to protect my rights and personal belongings?
These are excellent questions that are better addressed through a consultation. I can only address answers under Oregon law. In all practical reality, you need an attorney’s advice for these issues.
I haven’t been able to find many Oregon Lawyers active on UA-cam. Liked and Subscribed. 👍
