My great-great grandfather came from Ahrweiler, and Cologne was the first German city I visited. It has a special place in my heart, as does the cathedral, and Reubke's magnificent sonata.

Sebastian Küchler-Blessing hat dieses (für mich eines der tiefsten Werke der Orgelliteratur) nicht nur interpretiert, sondern durchlebt, und es trotz komplexer Raumbedingungen bestmöglich präsentiert ! Meine tiefe Hochachtung ! Danke für diese Einspielung ! Gruß, Andreas Resch

Sehr sehr schön! Wirklich guter Umgang mit der Akustik, ohne gleich das Tempo zu verlangsamen (vorallem auch in der Fuge), das ist nicht so einfach! Aber durch das gelegentliche ausklingen lassen, kann man als hörer fantastisch folgen, großes Kompliment!
Eine der besten Interpretationen dieses großartigen Werkes die ich bis dato hörte. Beste Grüße aus München

About the music and page-turner: two days before, we performed Duruflé's Missa cum jubilo in a service (live radio broadcast) and, within two weeks, there would be "Ad nos", "Weinen, Klagen" and Bach/Busoni chaconne on the menu, so there was too little time to memorize all the combination and manual changes...

Why are people so desiory of registrants, most are accomplished musicians in their own right. Even 'page turning' requires an ability to read both music and the musician playing. Watch the registrants manipulating the old cathedral organs!
